Just noticed something baffling on the website.

According to the annual report the total number of shares is 15.57 billion but on the website under major shareholders it says it is 18.24 billion. Very odd.

Also the list of major shareholders, consisting entirely of nominee accounts runs from 10.6% of total shares down to 2.9%. Why is there no mention of Republic with 12.8% ?

Personally, I struggle to see why any shareholder would vote for this rip off deal.

Never thought I'd say this but a placing would be much preferable if it meant the sale wasn't going ahead.

Don't forget there will be another meeting specifically for the sale.

I strongly suspect that any questions about the deal at the AGM won't be answered on the grounds that negotiations are still under way.

Republic may well hold the keys but that begs the

question,why the hell would they agree to the sale, when a decent return appears to be just around the corner ?

If the deal goes through they will have sold the second 50 % for 14 million usd, plus the original 2.5 million upfront on jv completion plus whatever will have been spent on workovers and

drilling. Let's guess 3 million for that. So that'll be say 20 million for the whole of Cambay.

Yes, please fo Kievsky, although I suspect that all you will get is some bland evasive answer that tells us nothing. Something along the lines of the BOD considers it the best option for shareholders.

Perhaps you could remind him that a few years ago the company produced a model for 10 wells that predicted a minimum profit of 58 million usd with a full field development being 30+ wells.

Doubt doing an interview or not would have made any difference. It's just that this fire sale makes absolutely no sense based on everything they've ever told us before and the apparently imminent revenues from the new well.

Agreed Espen but it is likely to be trivial amounts compared to what we were told to expect. Obviously, depends on how quickly the deal is finalised and what the cut off point is for receipt og revenues. Hoping against hope that Roland has something up his sleeve, like maybe a share of future revenues. Not holding my breath though.
