JDAU, with all due respect 'I’m once again left confused' as to why you are so 100% behind Bird. It just makes no sense to me, I believe you've been invested around the same time as me so are more than aware of the history here. No doubt, you've probably listened to his speeches more than most, are you not even a little peeved at his failed promises and missed deliverables? You are certainly in the minority if not....
Personally I feel let down by Bird and therefore feel I have to take some action, there's no point, and little relief, in bleating on a BB that the man probably has little care to read. I listened to his big speech about transparency moving forward and really did feel there would be change. IMO it, almost, feels like JN never left nothing has really changed which does make me wonder if Bird was pulling the strings all along!?
I generated a poll to gauge the opinion of others and found, based on those that voted that 93% were unhappy with Bird. (As I recall only 2/3 out of the 40odd were in support of his efforts to date). In light of this we find that there is support for the open letter to the BoD so we will move forward with it. I don't believe it would have come to this had comms been better; do we really have any other option with regards to voicing our opinion to the BoD. Many of us have written, many times to him directly with no response (Can anyone here confirm they have ever had the courtesy of a response from the BoD? Can you JDAU?).
I stand by my comments stating that Manica is a good project, not world class but a nice little project with enough substance to have been a good springboard for a fledgling company. It is my opinion that the project has been badly mismanaged and continues to be so. It is also my opinion that it requires a BoD that are fully focused on progressing the project and not have their time split between half a dozen other companies. I run a small company, just me, and I can tell you it takes up so much time....In fact I could really do without going down this route!
You, of course, have the right to your own opinion as others have the right to theirs. With support, I will continue with the plan of an open letter and possibly further action. You are of course free to do the same in support of Bird.
