Simple question.
When a car manufacturer develops a new car, they set the design parameters, they then invite a number of customers / potential customers / dealers into clinics, where the initial vision is displayed, and the technical elements and performance data fully explained; the attendees are the asked for their input, and any adjustments deemed valid and necessary are then incorporated into the final design. The vehicle then goes into prototype production, and thereafter is subject to a very considerable amount of IN HOUSE testing to the point where the product is then unveiled as a fully saleable product, which is ready to roll. After that, the customer has very little say in the underlying architecture, and the only flexibility is in respect of certain options. The same goes for most industrialised products.
Why should it be that AFC feels the need to do things a different way, and announce to the world that it is giving the product to a potential customer to test, when surely it should (if conventional wisdom is applied) be able to give them a brochure which says "here is our product, this is what it does, we have tested it to make sure that it does what is says on the tin, take it or leave it"
