Oooo, looks like M3's getting a bit rattled.....but then again, he, and his associates always get a bit shirty when they are faced with something they can't simply shout down.
Let me ask a simple question, and request a simple answer.
A theoretical company has been developing a product for many years, and on many occasions has indicated that said product was on the cusp of being commercially viable. Each time it transpired that said touted product was not in fact commercially viable, and the company then goes off on a tangent, developing either a new product, or a new application for a product. It then announces that it now has a product which it is convinced is market ready, and has tapped into an exciting emerging market. It then transpires that THIS product, like many before it has been proven to not meet the performance metrics required. However, it then announces that it has a new product, and a newer version of the old product, and all are now out on test with potential customers. The company does not explain the terms of the lease on the trial unit, and there has effectively been a news embargo on anything of a technical nature coming from the company since announcing the INTENTION to put the units out on test.
In the above scenario, which would seem to be the more appropriate view?
a. Express concern about the direction of the company, and request an element of transparency over the direction of the company
or
b. Blindly assume that all is well, and vociferously shout down anyone who doesn't share your views?
Ask yourself which of the above is potentially more prejudicial to the financial wellbeing of a potential investor.
Go on, let's have a good old shouty response to this one.....
