The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Steve, there is no way that Tibbles and Cowichan are one and the same.
T, who possibly named himself after either a cat from the Harry Potter novels, or the lighthouse keepers cat on Stephens Island NZ believed to have single handedly wiped out a small species of flightless birds called The Lyall's Wren, has posted here for years and seemingly believes this to be his BB, to the extent that he feels obliged to comment agreeably or disdainfully to others' posts to give them credibility. He has posters of Kees Dekker and Andrew Maguire on his bedroom walls and believes that, being personal friends of his, they talk to him during the night. He obligingly shares these bons mots on the BB.
C is a different kettle of fish, naming himself after the specific First Nations group who inhabit part of Vancouver Island B.C. I believe he has/had one of their world famous styled sweaters. He appears to be trying for the Guinness Book of Records, World's Longest Sulk and spends time searching for news from Egypt which he deems to be relevant here. Like T he obligingly shares these articles with the BB and in doing so provides background information which the BB otherwise doesn't appear to get, though since it is mostly bad news, he attracts much opprobrium. Anyone found any good Egyptian news lately?
To avoid doubt I sold out from here 3 years ago but look in regularly so see if it's worth while sticking my toe back in, though I have enough trouble elsewhere to go near CEY at this time.
If you guys read the news articles, the business being sold has £7.5b assets under management but the sale will raise about £100m, approx 5p per Abdn share. The money raised will be used within Abdn's business.
Covgaz:-
'Thank you for your character assumption Gino , and the 6 that chose to vote u up. I will put you in the same category and CD ,add and there like then.
I only ever speak the truth , and I wear my heart on my sleeve.
You go have a loverly day u pr*k.'
Is it fair to assume you missed English Grammar lessons and haven't bothered with it since?
PS - Would love to know what a pr*k is. Is it a Cov entry thing?
I understand peoples feelings about the perceived lack of momentum from SC and as such who wouldn't want to kick someone in the backside, but haven't we been here before? Having a new CEO appointed in the past has only resulted in further delays, new ideas about mining Cascabel and further salary costs in the meantime.
We can't sack the Ecuadorian Govt, or put a gun to the head of any potential purchaser to order a move on. This is what it is and it's your choice to be in or out!
When they announced Q2 results, they mentioned $6.7m VAT repayment to be received early Q3 but no mention here of that having occurred.
Many here question the low level of our SP, but if you look at the amount shown on our balance sheet as being due from the Tanzanian Govt but never seemingly being realised, it could be part of the problem.
Surely all of these little pieces (tailings dam, pipeline land etc) make Cascabel more saleable.
Can't comment on the value of it, but any prospective purchaser would want as many boxes ticked as possible.
Houndog - Because of the current state of play as regards consolidation of gold miners, one would hope that any incoming CEO would have the nous to incorporate a reasonable golden parachute payment into his/her/it's contract in case of that scenario. If they don't, we may get a muppet!
