George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Since we're out of school until Monday and following on the takeover theme, Mike Fraser was CEO of Chaarat when they made their approach earlier and will be CEO of GoldFields from 1/1/24.

Our Chief Operating Officer, Group Head of Exploration and the Head of Social Sustainability and Development are all ex Barrick men, the COO also being ex Endeavour Mining who are building an empire taking strategic stakes in companies, partly to diversify from their base.
Lastly, just a real cheeky one, has Eric disclosed exactly what his future plans are? Nobody knows the company like he does and he's holding onto his shares.
Just playing with thoughts, but the next few months could be fun!
DBW - Solgold say that 'virtually no pi votes had been received compared with this time last year '. I would imagine many PIs' shares are held by nominees (in my case Halifax) who should issue clients with the relevant voting form for the AGM (some nominees require you to assert in your Account Management to have them supply you with these - how obstructive is that?). Halifax advised that I needed to return the completed form to them by 14th December, which I have done, and presumably they lodge these forms with Solgold thereafter.
I wonder if these show up at Solg as PI votes or as the Nominee?
M&G has various funds with shares in many companies under the management of those funds and trade these shares occasionally. This Form 8.3 shows in the top left corner that it is issued by M&G and at 1 (c) 'Name of offeror/offeree in relation to whose relevant securities this form relates: ' discloses that the form relates to shares in SCS, not the other way round. These forms issued by various companies can be confusing as they aren't necessarily in the exact same format but if in doubt check the figures - M&G's holding of 3902891 shares in SCS as disclosed in 2 (a) (1) is 11.94% of the Issued Shares of SCS (33.95m). So it's M&G declaring that they have sold part of their Fund's interest in SCS and have done very well there as following a takeover announcement at end October, SCS shares have increased in value by 67% awaiting completion of the takeover. The M&G Funds are probably holding on to the remainder as the takeover price is cash per share plus a 10p dividend per share held at the date of takeover.
Absolutely Bozi! I'm astounded that any PI with a SOLG shareholding could be thinking otherwise at this stage of the game!
Mind you I'm not voting to give them licence to issue confetti shares. I would need to know the purpose for the issue.
An article linked to Ecora Resources PLC on Google Finance comes from InvestorsObserver and mentions amongst other things that ECOR has an SP of $91.90 and is listed amongst the 'Medical Devices Industries' in the S&P500.
A link to their more expansive observations reveals that they are discussing Electrocore Inc -ECOR - US version!
I've long thought that AI contributes a lot to this, at times, comedic circus that is Financial Markets, and if I'm correct, isn't performing it's actions as well as it should. We were better informed back in the day, in the hands of what Nigel Lawson described as 'teenage scribblers!'
SM - it was with unease that I first read the news of the AGM being moved back to 20th Dec. That kind of move, in my many years (not greatly successful) of observing Market Shenanigans, is normally to create fewer ripples when releasing bad news, admittedly more so with RNSs than AGMs. Many 'City' types have already flown to their festive hangouts and the few that are left will be drifting away on the 21st or in the pub early doors on 22nd and doing SFA until 2nd/3rd January.
Hope my wariness is unfounded and wouldn't it be great if our own dear old St Nic (NM) could don the red suit and unload a sack full of goodies for us on the 20th.
MasterRSI, re your 22:22. When I read your posts I'm reminded of the saying that if you sit an infinite number of monkeys at an infinite number of typewriters, one of them will eventually type the whole works of William Shakespeare. You are possibly that monkey, but you're still some way off the big win. Keep it up though bonnie lad/lass. Giving me chuckles during these cold grey days.
Following their DD, interested parties could have assured themselves that they want want the resource but are still content to wait until someone else starts the ball rolling. No deadlines have been set.
Re Argonaut article, my reading of the whole article suggests that the price tag quoted of near $4b is in Australian Dollars, or near £2b. That's heading in the direction of more realistic and right now I'd be happy to take that, but I won't hold my breath.
There have been posts of all flavours on here recently, some of them quite unsavoury, but today we have hit a new low! TWO, I repeat, TWO mentions of Xmas and its only November!
Red - I expect better of you! (lol)
Arapaho - but Sirius had started construction and had sunk many, many millions into the massive hole in the ground before they tried the next round of financing which was declined.
Despite the assertions of some on here we are NOT going to construct Cascabel.
