"people are questioning why the family aren't waiting for this 10x SP asset sale that everyone’s talking about"
Because they don't know what's going to happen. They are part of the market and therefore value our shares currently at the same price the market does. They are not insiders and there's no way the BoD gave them inside info.
I asked open AI if an estate can dispersed options, and it had this to say:
Whether an estate can disperse share options depends on the specific circumstances of the estate and the nature of the share options in question. In general, the executor or administrator of an estate is responsible for settling the deceased's financial affairs and distributing any assets to the beneficiaries.
If the deceased held share options, the executor may be able to disperse these options to the beneficiaries, but the process may be subject to various legal and administrative requirements, including tax implications, stock exchange regulations, and the terms of the share option agreement. In some cases, share options may be forfeited upon the holder's death, or they may only be exercisable by the deceased's estate or beneficiaries.
It is advisable to consult with a financial advisor or an attorney with expertise in estate administration to determine the appropriate course of action for dispersing share options as part of an estate.
