Greylib, how much would you pay today to get back 62.5p (average EPS in the last 5 years) every year from now on? EPS has also grown every year for 5 years so in another 5 years this company could very possibly be giving over £1 every year. How much is that worth today? I suggest that £8 is a good deal.

But what if the rumours are true? What if someone manipulated the price to get a quick profit? Read the financial statements yourself and decide. If BUR sold to a separate company 10% of their future earnings from one case, I see no reason why they can't recognise what's left at £900M.

Agreed. I also like to see a positive operating cash flow soon and a share buy back wouldn't help that.

There are lots of great investing opportunities around IMO. Several companies trading not much above (and sometimes below) book value

Successful companies often don’t pay out much dividends because they expect to deliver much better returns for shareholders by reinvesting it and growing the company.

Again, net assets are £1.76Bn, market cap is under £0.5Bn. Brexit does not change maths.

Sure. Although Warren Buffett also says not to invest in companies you don't understand. I would say I don't fully understand this company.

That been said, based on the financial statements I think the shares are worth about £15, so I think this is a bargain (unless the investments figure on their balance sheet is more than double what it should be, which I find hard to believe).

Worth reminding myself that the BoD put their money where their mouth is and bought shares. MW appear to have closed their short. What does that tell you.....

Oh come on! The husband/wife team was raised as an issue and the company said “yeah, fair point.” good on them for taking constructive criticism.

But that has nothing whatsoever to do with profitability. Unless you believe that this issue led to genuine fraud, which seems unlikely to me since they seem to have no qualms in inviting an outsider to be cfo.
