You cannot trade until markets are open.

However if you had a guaranteed stop in the negative direction you limit your loss whilst letting gains runs.

You would negate any gains on shareprice movement equal to the guaranteed stop limits.

Bare in mind shares swing about a lot so you would probably set your stops fairly wide so you don’t get taken out accidentally.

I’ve looked at it in the past and decided it’s not as easy as you first think.

Y4KBS - If you believe like many there will be a transaction taking place be that licensing or takeover i'd not sell before that.

Takeover and the decision is made for you.
Licensing deal you'd then have to set a target price off the back of the strength of the deal.

Nolupus - I had 16th in my diary originally then after Richards final interview lots took his words to mean the 24th. I remember posting that I personally thought his words implied +-1week from the 24th.

So yes a lot of us informed holder where expecting news then but no need to points score.

MF2017 - your knowledge of Synairgen and their data is pathetic. Your 100 patients completely ignores the 109 COPD patients also in phase 2, countless safety studies over the course of 15 years etc. etc.

The data set they have is top quality the board made a point of this they decided not to rush the trials rather gather the required data to achieve authorizations. They where in communication with authorities all the way through so would know what size of study would be required in these circumstances.

Sure a larger study size will be required in the future but i'd be surprised if that has to happen before EUA.

Rich - Yes agreed but You have to be disciplined to calculate your leverage and the effective amount of shares that equates too. You can for little outlay purchase the equivalent amount of a lot more shares but then leave yourself exposed because you didn’t have the cash to begin with.

More of a risky product but used effectively very fruitful.

CW25 - be careful with spreads I have dabbled a bit I had £250 per point open on SNG at 38p so that was a nice tax free earner for me.

It was difficult to close it after results had to phone through and basically state the min I would accept. Managed to close it out at £1.70 ish.

You can easily loose your trousers though. The drop from £2 is a max loss of £50k versus the drop from 38p was a max loss of £9.5k

The advantage is that you can analyse the data any way you want and they managed to do that in at least two ways which produced a statistically significant result. However, they now have to prove to the regulator that these are clinically relevant endpoints for the disease and I think no-one can dispute that the first two key findings listed in the RNS are clinically relevant. However, they cannot say unequivocally they have met the primary endpoint until the regulator agrees that these were suitable analyses to do to prove the drug works in a clinically meaningful way!

I should point out that the third key finding is not really determined from the ordinal scale as far as I can tell so is additional useful information but won't count as a primary endpoint IMHO. I am happy to be proved wrong on that though....”
