You often get talks of takeover on these boards this is one company where this might actually be a reality. A board actively de-risking the asset, a set of data that is glorious despite being administered later in the infection cycle than optimum.

Hold onto your golden tickets. If you sell no one will hold it against you enjoy your life changing gains but don't look back.

It’s not been the easiest of shares to hold but we backed our research and that is one beautiful RNS!

Ethio - If you want to talk SNG save it for that board I have not and will not discuss them here I am well aware of the risk.

Likewise I have not discussed risks here or suggested that this is risky.

There seems to be a belief here that a positive antibody test would allow you freedom of the town status and reduce the need for social distancing.

I’d like to explore that point, each and everyone of us has antibodies for forms of coronavirus. This still means we are susceptible and potential carriers of viruses which are impactful on others.

Why do we think covid 19 will be any different? The science is still inconclusive on this. I would rather sit next to an antigen negative passenger on a plane than an antibody positive passenger.

So whilst I see the need for an antibody test and mass testing to better understand this virus I’m still in the dark as to what the future will hold 2021 onwards.

It’s a question that is likely only to be answered in time and the answer probably means the difference between 3x or 10x from today’s price.

There are several things that make this a compelling investment:

The test is accurate and fast
They are part of the government consortium
The share price has been in decline recently so poses a good entry price for newcomers
Most of the delays have already occurred

Lunus - I think many here expected this to rise as results loomed.

Reality is as per RM recent interview he pretty much sign posted the later part of next week as results week.

Unless Acacia clear out Mon/Tuesday I really don’t hold out hope of this rising too much prior to results.

I’d love to be pleasantly surprised but best to under estimate. I’d only be buying shares that I intend to hold for results it’s too risky to try and time it this close to news.

Woodstock - I got a lot of heat from Elon for what I thought was a perfectly valid question I think lots are quick to jump conclusions that because someone appears and asks a question that is a bit probing they have ulterior motives.

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t hold here right now, I did briefly in the past.

I try and avoid posting on boards where I don’t hold, the fact I’m here is that I’m actually very interested in sizing this up.

I don’t believe in all this nonsense about negative posting influencing prices, I do believe that there will be many knowledgable people on these boards with valuable opinions.

Elon may well be one of those people but their delivery and Insistence to call people out as de-rampers is frustrating and probably puts people new to these boards off.

I don’t want it to become a thing so I’ll try and ignore it.

At 62p you stand a fair chance of making a good return on the right news.

It’s going to be very important to conserve cash to navigate these uncertain times.

Elon - What is your beef? I am not attacking ODX I think they are very well placed and if you look across the diagnostics industry those that are in bed with the government get the contracts.

What I do question is if the final solution is really the antibody test or is it a stepping stone to deeper understanding.

The RTC and ODX will be well placed to understand this.

If you can’t contemplate this as a possible scenario you are somewhat blinkered. We are nowhere near having this virus under control there is still lots to understand.

PDMSpiper - what about the scenario of group rapid antigen testing for a plane situation.

Passengers are already allocated boarding groups so you pool samples.

This could be done in many ways split the 500 into 5 groups in parallel.

You could group people based on who they are travelling with.

The industry will get inventive to save cost and time.

Why does each antigen test have to be run sequentially I think you are trivialising the problem.

Also to have achieved an antibody passport you still have to have antibodies which disappear fast What happens to the people who have already had Covid but no longer have antibodies. Perhaps the ultimate test will be a T cell test not antibody.

John - Indeed efficacy will hold the key.

One thing we will not see is conclusions drawn to latter be rubbished or cast in doubt due to trial design or lack of controls.

So in that respect the data will be conclusive.

However I can see that ultimate conclusions on wether SNG works could be left open ended pending home trials etc.

Woodstock - If there is one thing we can categorically say about the SNG trial it is that it will not be inconclusive.

It is placebo controlled therefore it will be conclusive.

It might not give us the results we are looking for but it will be conclusive.

I think you probably meant that you are unsure if it will give us the efficacy we are looking for.

Elon - I don’t understand your attack. I had a valid question that has promoted a bit of discussion with some interesting views.

It’s important to me to understand the views of as many people as possible.

In ODX I see a government backed antibody test which is soon to be proved to be scientifically sound. That’s awesome.

What I’m trying to understand is the size of the market and the desire globally for this kind of test. This is a hard question to answer as there are many differing views and opinions I could link articles for and against from what appear to be reputable sources.

So what should an investor do in this situation? Asking questions and mulling over answers is my preferred method.

I’ve already had several answers that have highlighted some interesting concepts, particularly Teesides post which I will follow up with a few friends on covid wards.
