Colber - Stick around you will always get a mixed bag of responses. Seems clear to me your intentions are genuine.
Just read the article you posted, there's not a lot of meat in there other than that they are patting themselves on the back for their previous recommendation to sell.
There are some important rules in investing some key ones for me:
1. Own your own research
2. Preserve your capital
I think most people will have taken a bit off the table after the 500% rise, I personally did. I did this because I've been burnt before and learned to protect my capital. If you can protect your capital you live to fight another day when things go sour.
If I solely listened to my research I would have kept it all in but I am human and concede I don't always get things right.
As for the article the reasons AZN walked away was that not enough Asthma patients where suffering exacerbations on the trial, so whilst the drug was doing the right things in terms of improving lung function, the target population was not getting sick enough so they had nothing to trial. They assumed the market was not there so walked away.
Fast forward to now and we have a deadly Virus infecting people globally of which Asthma and COPD patients are amongst the at Risk population. There is no question now that the market for this drug is massive I believe AZN decision would have been different had they foreseen this.
Whether you sell half or not is your decision and your decision alone.
