They where a nose ahead of SNG on the COPD froNt having completed their phase 2 and in the position to discuss their data at several conferences earlier this year.

Happyish - I’ve had a couple of disappointing conversations with potential suppliers but I have a promising meeting in the diary next week with a lovely bespoke distillery.

Which if it comes off would be a good fit for what I think we’d all like to achieve, something fun for us, bit of support for a quality small bespoke business and hopefully I can squeeze a bit of charity in there without pushing the selling price up.

I can see it now an orderly queue of II’s waiting at the MM’s desk, Venrock at the front of the line I’ll take whatever you can give me.

MM shakes the tree a few nervous PI’s scatter a few shares. Venrock urge again again... II’s towards the back of the line shuffle and twitch sweating at the thought of leaving empty handed.

Lansdowne for a laugh spill a few shares like chicken feed Miton lunge from the line but Polar body check them out the way blink and you miss it.

In short you’d be mad to sell now and it looks like less and less PI’s are the pressure is building.

Manifesto - Agreed my assumption is we will see Venrock continue absorbing anything they can get their hands on.

Manifesto - If you already own 6% of the company via proxy, you can bid higher than your competitor since you only have to purchase 94% of the company or is my logic too simplistic.

Could be barking up the wrong tree, but if the Venrock position is on behalf of a big player they are hoovering shares to give them an edge/ensure they are the highest bidder.

Definitely think Venrock are buying on behalf of a big pharma. If a potential suitor now owns 6% of the company it gives them an edge in negotiations.

I suspect Venrock will continue to accumulate what they can.

Frank - I think the problem is no one here really cares about the drug you are talking about.

We are all pretty comfortable with our shares here the share price is rock solid currently which backs up the sentiment around this drug.

There will be other treatments for Covid in time which is fantastic news.

But right know the investment case for SNG is very compelling and we’d probably rather discuss that than Cytodyn.

Frank - The drug does not treat COPD the drug is designed to help the lungs fight off viral infections, by stimulating the IFN-1b response.

Covid is a coronavirus that is so effective because it suppresses this response.

The COPD trial is monitoring if IFN-1b can stimulate a response in patients with confirmed COPD that also have a confirmed viral infection.

Previous asthma studies and safety trials have shown promise that it can trigger this response.

Covid trial has proven it can trigger this response when faced with a virus that actively tries to suppress it.

This all bodes well for the COPD trial which is targeting a range of common viral infections.

My take is there will be multiple treatments emerging for COVID. To satisfy global demand there will need to be multiple treatments.

We are a front runner due to some excellent work from Synairgen and a healthy dose of fortuitous timing.

All that matters here is that a deal is struck and I think this is likely soon.

I doubt other trial results will impact that deal.

ODX - Could be Selling tests this year
YGEN - are selling test kits
NCYT - are generating revenue and profit far in excess of previous years

HEMO - Pump and dump lots of people stuck in on the spike

N4 - Moved from stage 2 to stage 3 of an experiment in lab in a dish.

Long way to go here I don’t think you can be assuming this will fly like other stocks which have or are on the brink of commercialisation.

Bit of realism needed, good news today on the science but a long way to go.
