It’s still a valid treatment to Asthma sufferers who are affected by a virus. Asthma only fell over because not enough where getting severe issues to rhinovirus. Now covid is around they are very much a target market.

So what does today’s confirmation of what we already had guessed was going on really mean?

-@Home results early Q2

Active 2 is operational across 100’s sites in the US the data is being analysed as they go and the placebo arm of the trial is possibly already recruited since it’s a placebo group used to compare across all the drugs in the trial.

220patients could be recruited in a matter of weeks on this trial so it will be apparent pretty quick if the treatment is progressing well.

Any whiff of the right trend and the touch paper will be lit. EUA pre-orders and P3.

You will not see these prices again and March is looking like it will be an exciting month.

I know I bang on about this but studies like this highlight the fantastic job Synairgen are doing with their data.

“Data is King” means if you are going to run a trial looking at covid each and every person in the trial must have a confirmed covid infection verified by a gold standard PCR test.

If you have 329 patients on a trial which you don’t really know if they had the infection or not makes a mockery of the trial. The moment you start excluding significant data sets just to arrive at results is very suspect.

Trial design of Synairgen has been on point throughout phase 2 expect the same of phase 3.

Not peer reviewed yet. Suspect it will struggle once the study is unpicked.

“ But here’s a caveat: the press release said these results were not statistically significant, although the numbers are close. As for your question ref primary end points for P3. Time to discharge is a lumpy measure that may vary significantly hospital to hospital and country to country. I was surprised this was included as a primary end point. My understanding is we don’t need to hit both end points for the trial to be considered a success. Our other end point showed a strong positive trend in the P2 trial.

I’m confident SNG know what they are doing red the trial design their mantra has always been “data is king” so if there is one thing they will get right it’s the data.

Discovery of short Ace2 supports this theory too.

I must confess I don’t know the in’s and outs of the technical details but what I do know is that Sir Holgate and Co certainly do.

If they believe they have something unique enough to patent it and then increase patent coverage further after COPD interims. Then my money is on they certainly do.

Likewise if RM thinks the treatment will fetch £1000’s per dose it probably will.

Scinv seems to take the cost of treatment very personally not sure why, but spreading mistruths on patent coverage is just silly.

Scinv - The key point is that it’s the formulation of SNG001 that is effective at delivering the IFN-b to the target area efficiently.

It’s not the IFN-b that’s the smarts it’s what they’ve done to make it stable and ph neutral when it arrives at the lungs and the quantity and dispersion they achieve at the target zone.

This is what has taken the majority of the 15 years to prove out.

Their lung models highlighted IFN-b was the best bet very early on in their development.

JALLis - You are talking out of your arse sure fund managers have strict criteria that they operate to but these terms are laid out in the documentation that comes with the fund and the risk rating for that fund is calculated accordingly.

The funds that have bought into SNG are higher risk funds specifically looking for high yield high risk investments. The customers of those funds are seeking out a fund that will take the risk to bring large returns so they certainly are not expecting the fund manager to bottle before results for small gains.

This is a high risk high reward stock and the rewards so far are exceptional.

Gearing up to push product to market ourselves it appears, should bring excellent shareholder value short term.

All they can hope to take away from the trial is safety profile for the drug, numbers are too small for any statistical significance. A good outcome would be no safety concerns and some signs it helped patients. Then role on larger phase 2b study to look at efficacy.

I’m sure many have scored many 1-10x gains during the past year. You only had to buy SNG at 80p recently to almost bag.

It’s a volatile market sadly whilst many gain many will also loose their shirts.

Best to keep it tasteful when celebrating gains many people around you in the world are really struggling.
