Another day where the sp reduced into the 70's - only for a post close rise back into the 80's.

Another large 1000,000 trade pops through at 16.36.

Are we to expect another TR1 to advise that TOSCA have mopped up more shares.

Any thoughts or comments on their plans - already STOB's largest major shareholder with holding continuing to increase.

Am hoping for positive news on lifecycle service assurance solutions.

Only concerns are the overall market conditions, due to virus, am hoping despite this, that spt is able to provide a strong forward looking statement.

TF - not sure you are making many friends over there, lol.

whilst its good to see esl out of suspension, i agree it will be a long slog for the co. over coming years, with added financial security being achieved, with proposed potential funding by May. ( and possible dilution for pi's holding at that time ).

I'm afraid you are dealing in part with serial rampers, names that regularly pop up, in these situations. Many have form, and will push hard for a few days, for quick rises, using all the tricks in books. Who knows, a tr1 from AT or AXA tomorrow and they will add fuel to the fire.

The esl bb is priceless atm. it makes very enjoyable reading, added to the serial rampers, who will be gone in a week or so, are those that have got caught up in the excitement.

Think you are going to have to wait till things calm down, before you'll get your point across. Don't forget if it does drop back to say 6p, you'll take the blame, for your de ramping lol.

The serial rampers will be long gone, and those left will need to find a focus fir their frustration.

Volcano - caught the end of a piece on the bbc this morning, interview with an independent cycle retailer, suggesting supply problems with bike imports from China. Didn't see the full report though.

Appreciate hfd doesn't solely rely on bike sales, though a decent road bike is not cheap, costs roughly 3 years of my gym membership. I notice even those guys who are members of our local road cycling team, pop in and train on the Watt bikes. Saves on tyres etc. Also its nice and dry in the gym and on many bikes you can plug into u tube on the screens and lose yourself lol. The spinning classes are also fully booked too.

I've converted 2 of my mates to the benefits of gym bikes, saves on cleaning your bike, its been very wet and windy out there and considering the potholes in our area its a lot safer too !

it'll prob all change of gyms get closed down due to the virus though.

SP could be down due to retail link even with its niche market. probably no trading news from HFD for a couple months, doesn't help. Year end finals to end Match not likely to be reported till May.

At £1.35 its looking like its worth a punt though.

Draft - TF and I have been discussing esl on this bb for over 6 months, in view of STOB using the remainder of its esl holding to secure its £50m bond.

TF - the good news for STOB is that ESL is out of suspension.

Worth considering that STOB sold off huge chunks of ESL at huge premiums to present value. Then used it's final shareholding to secure the £50m bond for investment in its Energy and Aviation divisions.

The chaos over on ESL is amusing, with serial rampers making money with wild sp claims, and an inability to understand the difference between T/O and profit. Nor an understanding of the costs of leasing contracts and debt interest serviceability and debt repayment.

The rns indicates that ESL will be placed on a firmer financial footing following the proposed fund raising by May end.

It will settle down over the medium to longer term. Looking back STOB's decisions relating to ESL look impressive.

In the meantime you are very much within your rights to call out mistruths over on the other bb, though I doubt you'll get much thanks lol

Hi Volcano - no trades for me this morning - been to the gym to try and get a few pounds off my weight following my holiday.

I'm thanking my good fortune, that I sold out on BAB, DOM, QLT TSCO, on the Boris bounce post election last Dec, I also sold off my UU shares which has turned out to be a mistake.

Apart from a couple of longer term buy in's - one being BBOX, I've kept most of the above in cash, as I was expecting a fall in the market from March through to July when the commencement of the Brexit talks bought some reality to the table.

That said my long term dividend shares like most are down,but they are parked and I don't need the money so we'll see where we are a few months down the line.

This afternoon I've been looking at those long term shares that are on my watch list and am looking at where they stood at May 16 - FTSE @ 6000
Nov 18 - FTSE @ 6500

Am looking at where i think buy in opportunities exist.

But are today's bargains tomorrows value traps lol.

I agree the proposed BA Heathrow - Newquay "summer only deal" seems excessively expensive, and only 5 flights a week opposed to Flybe's 25 flights a week now being switched to Gatwick. I also agree it's cheaper by train, and yes you can factor in times at airports.

I'm comfortable that Rya and Ezj would cover flights to Europe. It's UK inland regional flights I'm particularly interested in.

When Connect put together its rescue package, many pi's were decieved by rampers predicting multi bids for the business. But as it turned out the likes of RYA, EZJ and BA were not interested, nor nor do i believe any of them put be prepared to take over the more marginal inland UK routes. So my question is do we want to keep these routes and what will be the price to pay ?

There's been quite a bit of chat over about Branson wanting the slots, but what needs to be Bourne in mind is that he is only a minority owner of the the Connect group with 30%. Cyrus and STOB are it appears more aligned.

It's worth recalling how STOB structured it's 30% holding of Connect. STOB want flights in and out of Southend. Actually with a
8.61% stake in STOB so do Cyrus.

TF - looks like a reality check on ESL today. I'm guessing you are now taking to the guys that got taken in by the serial rampers yesterday. I've cast an eye over the bb and most of the crew have disappeared, with their profits no doubt. Those left are scratching their heads so seeing if they are really holding golden tickets !

I want esl to recover with additional likely funding over the coming 4 years. Sure it will settle down over there.

Btw did you take your profits yesterday on MATD think it peaked at 4.4p. yesterday morning.

Just back online this afternoon been chilling out on my last full day away.

Looks like the ftse took a further big dip I'm guessing on the US open, climbed back a little, but not much. Same pattern for the ftse 250.

Not pleasant casting an eye over long term holds atm. Could be some further retraction to come, yet. Some comfort though, back in 2016when the ftse fell to 5600 in the early spring it had bounced back to over 7000 by the end of the year if my memory serves me right.

Apart from that bvc trade today, cash has been my best performing asset today lol.

It's a case of bunkering down, and waiting for positive news on the virus. All those shares on my watch list that looked attractive yesterday look even more attractive today, and may we'll look that much better tomorrow and next week.

Some quality co's getting dragged down. Hold that cash ready to buy - but so many to choose from now.

Tav - I had a feeling the 3rd runway would be a stretch. Still looking forward past the virus the capacity problems at airports in the south of England still remains. Feel the plays into Southend's hands.

When the Latest Flyb / Govt. Discussions took place I watched mental Micky's interview. Though he was flaming, ( isn't he always ). I'd doubt there would be any way he'd be offering up rya flights across the UK on those routes which are marginal. APD is a considerable challenge.

The BA proposal to offer was it 5 flights a week to Newquay, seemed to me just a bit of short term points scoring. Flights only during the summer period from early July to early Sept. Whereas FLYB presently runs I think 28 flights a week now being switched to Gatwick.

Reports are out that Flybe are talks with a number of regional airports, concerning unpaid landing fees. No doubt those airports possibly involved are raising concerns with the Govt. The cynical part of me feels this may be designed to put additional pressure on the Govt.

I don't know what the solution is but if Boris wants to live up to his election pledge for a connected UK, then regional flights will need some sort of subsidy or they may disappear.

Just another headache for the blond bombshell and his team to negotiate.

So Boris hacked off the judiciary last autumn. No support there for 3rd runway, unless he follows Paris Climate agreement etc.

He's not flavour of the day at the BBC so I doubt they'll report too kindly on the outcome of the court decision.

The Govt. report document for its negotiations with the EU demonstrates it's on a completely different hymn sheet to the EU. Should go down like a lead bullon over there.

Wonder whether the Heathrow decision will influence further Govt. Support for Flybe. No doubt someone from STOB will remind the Govt of the wonderful runway at Southend at the next meeting.

Meanwhile concern for the virus ramps up, got to fly home tomorrow the weather back in the UK looks unappealing.

BBC article is not too complementary on the Govt. Much more work to be done here then.

Don't tell anyone but Southend has a lovely runway that can help out with future passenger pressure.
