As for the divi I thought things were beginning to improve here and GSK. I dont hold BT directly but suspect the pension issues would be a concern too many for me.

Rolls have already done this and even the military encourage girls to join in all roles including front line duties. Several years ago they had an all girl helicopter crew in Afghanistan.

Sorry, cant help with the tax position Legs, what I can do is help my own income position as I have acquired more of these under 95p with a 8.5 percent income which should be progressive and he cherry on top is its paid every quarter.

Another reason for the purchase was to increase the December divi income as that was one of the weaker months. RGL has been active in the market recently too. The only fly in the ointment is the falling SP, is this following the market fears and how much more will it crumble? Still, its allowed me the opportunity to acquire some high income now.

Not gloating, just a statement of fact on my part. Hopefully you sold when there was a big differential between the two and that should make the deal ok.

I have often wondered about paring shares and switching between the two as the bands narrow and widen. I would probably pick two munters though like HMV and blockbuster.

I used the link and it appeared as expected. I can also get this view by changing it on each share I visit. What I cant seem to do is default it back to this view all the time.

It seems finance websites are suffering all over. Interactive investor has improved like Google Finance did, for the worst. It it lack of attention span? Were not clever enough to read for more than a few seconds anymore so they are giving us bite size pieces.

LSE seem to be in Thread view now and I can get it to default back to message view. Comment on ii chat seem to think that the amount of people moving from ii to LSE is the cause of the outage but I doubt that.

Onto Voda, SP off a tad and still struggling to find that penny everyone wanted according to google finance but its lost SSE completely. Still it lost VOD a bit back so maybe SSE will turn up down the back of the sofa like Vod did.

Well Ive had my own "flights from hell" but luckily we were on the ground at the time. The rest of the flight were trying to instigate a riot at the airport we were stuck at. I did point out that the base was also used by the military and that standards were different to the uk and it might not end well for them and it was the operators fault not the airports. Whilst I understood the frustration with the situation I could see this was going to go downhill rapidly. Fortunately it was resolved a couple of days later. I also missed a flight that ended up force landing, is that another word for a crash? on the banks of the Mississippi, so fate was smiling that day plus they weren't RR engines.

Media seem to think government should be having an input to the job losses. Not sure what they want to achieve, tell they that they cant cut jobs maybe. I suspect its government's job to create the right environment for growth and that like most companies they need to evolve otherwise were all going to be working in blockbusters stores and the mills.

I suspect you might prefer the mills as its cheap discount for the bedding whilst Ill do blockbusters and watch the products all day.

SP inching down might be worth keeping an eye out for a top up if things keep going

Still if my RR. shares tank it will be your fault cos ya might have flown on an airplane that might have had Rolls engines in it. You should also have mentioned that you would not be supplying half of Debs missing profits. Grey, GE mirroring RR to an extent, must be a sign of the times. Still NTSB blaming the Brit Airways pilot for taking too long to shut down the engines in the Vegas incident, I suppose high stress emergency situations just go to show that the pilot was human after all. Lots of commentary over a penny, still they say look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves. Lots of pennies in the dividend, so does that mean lots of pounds!

Nowt wrong with reducing debt unless its really cheap or your unlikely to get more when you need it. 3.5% to 4.750% so not overly expensive but it should help improve fcf later and Im ok with lower debt levels as they have cash spare now. Better than some lame buyback or give it to me as a special Divi. Interest rates unlikely to be as low as they are now. Think of it like paying off part of your mortgage. There might come a time when things become tighter so better to be ahead of the curve now and lower debt later. I suppose the offset is inflation eating away at that debt or using the cash for a better return than 3.5%. Buy more freeholds maybe.
