RE: zero rate debt, according to my god?3 Mar 2019 09:00
If only, well it's according to Vodafone's own disclosure not mine. Although I'm more interested in the blend rate and maturity length overall. Swapping high rates of interest to lower rates is a no brainer if you are allowed to do so. I'm sure you would do the same with the mortgage. I wonder how many are still paying 15 percent?
As for convincing you, it's not my job. DYOR n all that. Not sure which semi bond your talking about but generally the coupon is the annual rate and then the payment terms to get that annual rate.
Bullish, well Mr Market would disagree, he is saying the divi is likely to be cut. I hope not but I would be factoring that in any calculations buying down here now. Still if it's not cut then this might turn out to be a bit of a bargain like the time shell was offering over 10 percent.
As for a 2 percent return some will need much more than that with the SP falling by half. Can't remember any Roc figures for Vodafone but I suspect they are currently quite low.
