Update seems likely this week, firstly bcos the offload usually provokes BB calculation of the amount, and extrapolation to production rates, which a responsible Bod should seek to correct and/or confirm/expand on. We are also due a field determination bty the OGA, which also gives an opportunity to comment on operational matters..

It appears from DC's psts that the tankers arrival is consistent with current guidance, which is OK, as far as it goes, and as far as it mb accurate ; with all respect to DC, thesex are fag packet calculations.

But assuming this to be the case, it is only half the kebab, so to speak.

What we REALY need to know is, if current 12k being maintained, is it with/without issues around WC, BHP, turbulence, gas, etc.

And that we will only know when we see a RNS.

i have learnt the hard way that PoO forecASTING is a mug's game, but feel I really have to have a view if I'm investing in oilies.

As you say further total lockdowns are unlikely in much of the world, but ongoing restrictions, and economic damage still to feed through, will have a continuing dampening effect meaning PoO will not quickly bounce to pre Covid levels.
And whilst the market mb close to balance with the OPEC+ cuts (if they can be sustained) a huge stock overhang should limit upside, as will the ability of shale to bring back wells, and finish the DUC stock ( I don't see a lot of new wells happening).

Fwiw I can't see Brent getting near $50 for the resat of this year, mb longer. But who knows.

Yes, but mb not immediately. It would be very embarrassing to report an increase to, say, 14k bpd one day, and a few days later say the WC had increased, or some other complication. So i reckon they will want a few days, at least, at higher rates b4 announcing anything.

several posters used ti vye to predict the next offload, divine the amount, and extrapolate to daily production. It wasn't always right, and at times misled, but it would be useful to see that sort of even half informed detective work on here now.

Thx to posters talking on BHP issues, I'm not sure I can draw any firm conclusions. But I WILL say agree with AWK re the BoD "kitchen sinking" the last RNS. Common practice for new BoDs to get all bad news, and even to overegg potential bad news, in order to give themselves a clear run.
