Great posts Investmaster. We are in the embryonic days with SAF. This stock is massively underpriced if the government has a serious commitment to the UK repeat UK SAF industry and Velocys can be at the forefront of the SAF industry. That is a BIG IF. I think the smarter move is for Velocys to have the plants in the US and have a joint UK and US venture as we all know the UK economy is pretty much on its **** at the moment. The conservatives cannot fund the NHS and UK infrastructure let alone look to invest billions in cleaner skies for 2050. This is why becoming a shareholder in Velocys is extremely high risk. We have as shareholders firstly to rely on the UK government to ensure it is sufficiently financed for future investment over the next thirty years and we don't rely on cheaper imports and secondly that Velocys can compete in this crowded marketplace against some serious well-funded multi-nationals and already cash-rich engineering companies like Rolls- Royce or energy companies like Shell and BP. GG

I would love to just get back a quarter of my money back. I should have sold when I was 15% up pre-news. This was the early days of trading for me. It learnt me a valuable lesson when trading AIM stocks. Take the profit whenever you can. DONT get Greedy. I did and I lost a boat full of money. Dont listen to other advice from people on the bulletin boards especially the rampers.

It's all well and good to release an RNS statement declaring that the company has managed to reduce further carbon emissions. As shareholders what we really want to hear is whether Velocys Plc has signed new commercial contracts . It's akin to Ford motor company at the beginning of the twentieth century announcing the new model T can go 20mph faster but if you don't have anyone to get the message out there or commercially the company is weak then no one knows and the great product is overtaken by competitors. Andy Bensley and Jeff McDaniel and his tiny commercial team are not going to "break much Ice ". Sort it out Henrik - you have been our CEO long enough. GG

Jim800 - Totally agree considering "The Company recorded revenue of £48k (HY2021: £8.2m) from engineering consulting services". It needs to either start selling its expertise or find a kindly environmental benefactor. GG

85% of the companies on AIM are lifestyle companies for directors or companies that are just interested in" science Projects ". The Key is to buy shares low and take profits out and not be greedy. I say with experience !! Companies Like Velocys just rely on billions of shares being issued and directors getting a fat salary for twenty years. The chances of shareholders getting super-rich on a stock like this are about 10% but the higher the risk higher the reward. GG

The problem as I see it is that Velocys Plc does not have a dynamic board. If Labour gets into power and the likelihood is it could be sooner rather than later, they will invest very heavily in Green UK businesses. It is their mantra. Rachel Reeves mentioned Rolls-Royce and their development of carbon-free Aircraft fuel. Velocys Plc is up against some big players. Time to invest heavily in a commercial marketing department that is fit for its purpose. Step one may be to update their website, it looks like something developed and built-in in 2005. GG

Hats off for buying at a low price but the more I read into this stock the more my gut is telling me it is just another lifestyle company for the directors. Jam tomorrow. I think the warning signs were when the CFO left. He was no fool. £2.3m grant from the government is not going to do much. I am kicking myself for not selling when it touched 7p. No fool like an old fool. Summary: Big losses. Pathetic turnover, Probably a great product and amazing technology but underdeveloped commercially. I cannot see the appointment of Andy Bensley doing anything. We are up against companies with huge commercial teams. The future market is massive but Velocys needs to start doing something commercially or the Market Value of the company will shrink quickly. GG.

Feel this is a disappointing RNS statement. It annoys me somewhat when AIM companies use external events out of their control and include them as highlights. Example US legislation. There is little benefit to the company and investors in beneficial legislation if we cannot exploit it commercially. Very little in the RNS except for a few teasers in there about potential new contracts. I do hope that shareholders are not going to be a continual cash cow for many years to fund "lifestyles" by continually issuing new shares. Trust me this is usually the norm rather than the exception for AIM companies and the whole AIM market has very little regulation and shareholder protection. GG

I am in partial agreement with exbrat. From my research and my opinion, Velocys lacks a commercial management team and is considerably weaker than the competition. Velocys appointed Andy Bensley in February 2022 to develop a new business approach and contracts. What Velocys needs to equalise its position against its competitors such as Fulcrum and Lanstar is a team of Andy Bensley's. Turning up at an energy conference in New York is not worthy of an RNS and if anything shows the lack of ambition on the part of the Velocys management team. What should have been in the RNS is that Velcoys management team are making a major presentation. I can imagine Henrik and Andy walking around with their Velocys name badges on and no one had a clue who they are. They may have the best scientists but if you cant get your produce out there to the market and shake a few trees this company will fall by the wayside. GG

As required by section 519 of the Companies Act 2006 KPMG LLP, the auditors for the year ended 31 March 2022, has provided a statement on ceasing to hold office as auditors. "The reason connected with our ceasing to hold office is the holding of a competitive tender for the audit, in which we decided not to participate, given the recent changes to the size and nature of the Group's business, since the original tender and appointment." A copy of the letter from KPMG will be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and be posted to our website in due course.
THIS STATEMENT SAYS EVERYTHING. KPMG DID NOT WANT THE JOB !! Things must be desperate when KPMG don't want the job! All in my own opinion. Cant believe this outfit are still trading and the lights turned off but then again when the CEO is getting £50,000 a month why do it . Do your own Research. GG.

Buy on the dips. This is a long-term stock. Excellent article in the Times Business section, which probably led to the increase. Once the SP falls back again in the next few months, I will be buying in again. The average target price is 5p to 5.5p anything lower is a huge bonus. GG

Hi MarketViking. I predict it will fall back to the 5p range within the next 12 months, as this stock won't come into play for three years. There will be long periods of no news. The markets will get bored, believe little action is happening, and lose interest and sell. The most significant factor is that Velocys Plc expand its commercial division and started putting new contracts on the table. Velocys must have a significant fuel provider as a partner, even if that involves becoming the minor partner. All in my own opinion : GG

Whilst this is very positive news, what we need is to make a start on the UK production sites, a sustained and developed commercial drive with lots of new contracts and possible partnerships. At present we have two significant contracts. I am also of the opinion we need a long-term commercial partnership with a fuel supplier in order for the SP to significantly rise. GG

Loosely: I think they have a very small commercial development team. This is my opinion. I have a five-figure investment in Velocys Plc based mainly on the fact that they won the Green skies initiative and are placed to compete at a modest level within the UK. I believe that the core board of directors is extremely capable and qualified but lacks the commercial expertise to compete with major players. I hope I am wrong as I have an investment in the company. I also believe that the prices at current levels will show an ROI as the SP is undervalued even if Velocys remains a small-time player within the UK in the next 5 to 10 years. All in my own opinion ; GG

They prepared a 63-page report this year for me, which I have documented previously. Our conclusions were and remained the same. Velocys are at the forefront of technology in this field, but they lack the commercial prowess of their competitors, especially the US ones. I would love to be proven wrong. My main questions relate to the UK competition.
1. Is velocys Plc leading the technology race to manufacture the most developed reactor to produce SAF ?
2. In terms of costs how does our Fisher - Tropsch reactor compare against other UK competitors ?
3. What are the key advantages airlines and energy companies would benefit from in going into partnership with Velocys Plc as against a UK / US competitor ?
