Yes, fully aware it's in the RNS business update, but I was more interested to see what investors on here believed. It was their opinion I was interested in rather than a company statement. The company will always release a positive comment or put a message in the best light possible. GG

I would be interested in what other investors believe the short to medium-term key objectives are for the board of directors and, ultimately, the company. If you could bullet point, it would be appreciated, and please feel free to correct me if I have made any errors. 1. Obtaining private funding to match the government grant award of £27m. 2. Obtain a site in the US as Red Rock Fuels inc has gone into administration. 3. Build the Altato Plant in Immingham and obtain partners for the site in Mississippi. 4. Provide a clear funding path for both sites over the next five years. 5. Obtain new commercial clients and significant SAF contracts within the airline industry. GG.

What a complete and utter stupid act by the new CEO to come out with a statement like this. What does he think he is doing by basically telling the world that the company he works for is utter rubbish? Dreadful move for all concerned with RR. TOTAL FOOL.

Chelmochaser: I appreciate your posts. As private investors, no one needs to be convinced that SAF is the airline industry's future. We are all in agreement, as are governments and most airlines and energy companies. The problem is that the market is highly competitive and potentially where huge profits can be made. Velocys is a minnow in an ever-growing pool of sharks. Commercially it is feeble and needs a significant partner to develop, in my opinion. It can have the best technology in the world but if it cannot sell its product or service it is a non-entity. GG

In reply, yes, I agree with your comments. Let's hope as investors that Velocys plc has a board of directors who put their shareholders first. ( A rarity with AIM Companies from my experience ). I think what has happened in the US to RR is a significant setback. I still believe the commercial department is weak. Still, if the B.o.D. can overcome this, find a viable site, secure independent investment concerning the government grant, and markedly strengthen its commercial department, this share could fly. They float from one disaster to the next every couple of years whilst picking up huge salaries. Sorry to say this company is DEAD in the water. They cannot get funding and no one will underwrite the scheme. The SP is worthless , the FCA doesn't want to know. I made a few grand and chipped in and out a few years ago but now I hold nothing. Amigo is a prime example of a poorly regulated AIM Share Index company . AIM has no regulation and If you do invest in AIM companies - TAKE THE PROFITS WHILST YOU CAN. Genuinely feel sorry for the shareholders. All in my own opinion : GG

Just a word of caution, I feel it helps to have a negative or shall I say a different point of view. Some call it deramping which is the opposite of pushing the share of ramping, especially for AML shares. AML is a notoriously difficult market to make money in. 70% of all investors who invest in AML shares will lose money. It is a lottery. Extremely high risk and high return if it does strike gold. I had two notable experiences with AML to date. One was when I first started investing and my head was all over the place after a divorce. I threw £20k into a penny share and cashed out with a £5k profit. In the following years, it went through the roof and I could have made millions. The second investment was in an oil exploratory company that was doing a virgin drill. I invested far too heavily and was burnt. During the run-up to the drill, there was one sole dissenting voice from the herd who continually told fellow investors the company was a lifestyle company. Most AIM companies are in my opinion" lifestyle" companies with directors continually living on the proceeds of new shares being issued and loans and forever issuing "Jam tomorrow " RNS statements to entice new investment to pay salaries mainly to NON-EXECS. I am excited by the government awards won by Velocys and the technology. On the cautious side as has been stated by exbrat, developing technology to fruition and making them commercially viable is a whole new ball game. In my personal case, the first company I invested in did this and investors who stuck with them made a LOT of money, in the case of the second company they were a pipedream company forever selling the dream and without doubt a private investor's worst nightmare. I will say I think technically Velocys seems to be ahead of the game but commercially it is weaker than a used tea bag from home bargains. If you do invest do not do what I did and overstretch yourself or become emotionally involved with the company. That iis fatal. All in my own Opinion: GG

I have shares in RR and have had them for some time. I believe they are massively undervalued, and the debt currently anchors the SP but the technology they have been developing over the past ten years is staggering. They have invested billions, and I mean billions into engineering research in the past ten years. I also hold VLS as more of a punitive gamble, but I have faith in the technology side in VLS but lack faith in the commercial department. Im deep into RR and have a reasonable investment in VLS. I may top up on both but have far greater faith in RR. Both are very much 5 year stocks in which I would be comfortable of double bagging at least. GG

Keep buying at these prices, as they are a steal for private investors. RR is filling its order books on defence, and flying hours will soon match then exceed pre covid numbers. A huge investment over ten years by RR into R&D will come to fruition especially into SAF. Debt receding and the icing on the cake will be SMR that will transform this company. Long term buy and count your money. This stock is very much underpriced and the shorters will be a thing of the past. Buy now hold 3-5 years. Transformative. GG

Expatbrat - So to summarise in reply to my question enquiring as to what USP Velocys Plc has in the manufacture of engineering plant enabling the production of SAF, your answer is it doesn't have. You doubt Velocys plc has the ability to ever go to market and produce an engineering plant. You question their validity to trade as a going concern - that's a fair argument.
thurgarton: I have done my research and the only USP as I see it is that they claim on their website announces that its proposed facility Bayou Fuels in Natchez, Mississippi, US has been re-optimized for maximum decarbonization to a negative carbon intensity of -375g CO2e/MJ (previously -144g CO2e/MJ).
QUESTION: 1. Is this reading the lowest of all the Fischer - Trop Reactor Technologies in the US?
QUESTION: 2. Are there any other UK competitors stating they can obtain SAF from landfill household and commercial waste?

If as Shareholders anyone could throw some light on these questions as if the answer to both of the above is YES why doesn't the commercial marketing team at Velocys Plc put it all over their website or shout it from the rooftop? GG.

There are a lot of AIM companies out there that fail and the vast majority do not go on to be roaring successes and are simply kept trading by shareholders paying into them. These "lifestyle " companies are quite happy to take shareholder money to fund the directors ( usually non-executive directors ) lifestyles. Be very careful about spunking your pensions on companies like Velocys. They are a minnow in this pond and against some very big companies that could eat them up in a heartbeat and ensure they dont get left behind. GG
