RE: charts8 Feb 2023 14:00
I lost so much money on BPC on the Bahamas drill listening to the endless bull**** from Simon Potter and Eytan Uliel et al. The only one who ever called it right was IreneKrapper on this bulletin board, who continually told everyone how **** and corrupt the board of directors were. However, greedily I sided with Starchild and his deluded posts and advice and lost all my dough - lesson learnt. I remember with black humour the legendary presentation just before the drill by the then-technical oil expert who worked for BPC, whose name alludes me. He pointed to charts showing vast areas of oil on or around the Bahamas with all the confidence of Bernard Madoff being interrogated by the FBI. With his head down and mumbling into the pre-recorded Investec presentation, he told would-be investors about Perseverance 2, and future exploratory drills that he, Eyan Uliel, and Simon Potter (who originally planned to do a live presentation and had conveniently been stranded on the boat), knew were never going to happen. We investors watched as excited as a school class of fifteen-year-olds boys at the introduction of our new female PE Teacher taking the lesson. I recall watching our present CEO hosting an investor's PowerPoint from his apartment in deepest Australia. The presentation was delayed for about fifteen minutes as he couldn't get the slides working and had to drag in a fellow flatmate to help him. The writers of Faulty Towers couldn't write a better script. We won't mention Greenpeace blocking the ship or a half-cooked local small-town barrister running legal rings around a so-called oil multinational oil company. The only chance of obtaining any of our funds back would be if Shell and all the other Oil companies that have bought blocks off the coast of Uruguay do exploratory drills first and hit big. If that is the case, there may be a slight chance of a farm-in. Other than that, this is a write-off against additional capital gains profits, which will more than likely be the outcome. Greed is powerful; combined with untruths, many vulnerable or misjudged people lose all their money. All in my own opinion: GG.
