Looks like the sector stateside is getting hammered back down to pre 2021 prices. It's a rout and is obviously adversely affecting green shares over here such as AFC Energy! Unless they pull something out of the hat, AFC's SP will remain under pressure, unfortunately. Hoping for a miracle here now TBH. Wonder where the despicable haggis has slunk off to? Didn't he say recently that the only way was up?! Somebody should report him to the FCA!

We all want the company to be successful Cheek but the problem is it isn't and that's because it isn't making any money because it isn't selling any products despite years of the CEO assuring investors that commercial traction was just around the corner. If a genuine holder does not perceive this disparity to be unacceptable then I would question their logic.

One hopes they throw the market some meat prior to the AGM to try to stop the decline here. Unfortunately, AFC's inability to deliver on their bullish rhetoric is starting to take effect. This has been a disastrous investment for many, meanwhile the CEO's doing very nicely. I guess it was always a long shot anyway.

Down over 3% on Tradegate so clearly the SP is coming under pressure. Let's be honest here, no-one expected the SP to be this low halfway through 2023, a couple of years back. Most were predicting a SP in the pounds by now. lol At least Bond didn't insult shareholders in the EOY Financial report by trying to claim 2022 had been transformative! When you think this company has been on the go since 2006 its journey to commercialisation has been shockingly slow despite being spun the yarn for years that we're already there or at least on the cusp. It must be a hell of a big cusp!
I just hope we can get another upward sector movement from which I will exit as there's nothing I see coming out of AFC that is going to take the SP back to all time highs, anytime soon!

We obviously do have a version of S+ but without AlkaMem so I was partly wrong but also partly right Bumble just as you were wrong to suggest that the S+ 100kw unit is using AlkaMem. I'm happy to admit if I call it wrong unlike you who'll never admit to being fallible as in your world everything you say on the subject of AFC must be believed. BTW, I've not had any of my posts deleted. Anyway, I'm off out so catch later for the next onslaught!

I said the 100kw unit would not use AlkaMem if it does appear Bumble so I got that right unless you still think it does use it? I haven't decided about attending the AGM yet Bumble as I'm not sure attending would be productive. And to Bondy, I guess the difference is that the claimed parameters of AlkaMem would enable fuel cells deploying it to be much more powerful and therefore marketable particularly as they could use cheaper lower grade hydrogen unlike PEM FCs that need virtually pure hydrogen to operate.

Git, the S+ which delivered the results for ABB has a solid alkaline membrane that delivers the impressive performance. It is either AlkaMem or an equivalent they have managed to get hold of. We will see by the AGM.

Meanwhile AlkaMem has been sufficiently delivered to be tested with external validators for alkaline electrolysis.

Well, we have the solid cell, all 100 kW, validated in Germany, and as Garmoan said, with AlkaMem inside it.

You really are setting yourself up again to be exposed as a fool Garonne. AlkaMem is what gives the S+ cell it’s high power density. It is sufficiently developed that as well as being used in these stacks it was sent out to other companies for validation in water electrolysis.

Just for clarity Bumble, here you are some posts from you suggesting the 100kw ABB unit is using AlkaMem! You really are pathetic.

They said in the now infamous 2021 half year report that a full prototype high power dense AEM (AlkaMem) FC would appear by year end Bumble as quoted in my post at 23.42. Your misleading comments show you'll say anything to deflect from AFC's failures including trying to imply that the 100kw unit could be using AlkaMem when I suggested it definitely wouldn't be but more likely using a commercially available membrane. You've definitely got an agenda here Bumble to defend AFC at all costs, which suggests to me that you're more than just a private investor with an obsessive interest in the company! I mean you're even censoring my posts at 02:20 and 02:24. If one accepts that you're probably a company stooge then your posts must be considered in that light and are therefore of little value. You really are an unscrupulous individual Bumble.

No Bondy, just a disgruntled shareholder. It's simply a case of feeling misled on the expectations for AlkaMem without which it will not be possible to produce MW power in a reasonably sized package, such as the power cube. If that ever becomes a reality however, especially running on cracked ammonia, then the customers will be queueing up around the block! I guess that's what I was hoping for so anything less is a disappointment.

Both statements are from the 2021 Half-Year report. Now 2 years later it's being decelerated! Stuff like this just blows a hole in the company's credibility and now means that there can be no power cube as per the website, putting out 500kw and up to 1mw in a 10 foot shipping container, for the foreseeable future! Without AlkaMem I don't see how AFC can even consider powering ships as pointed out by Daz earlier today. It's a big miss but not entirely unexpected as I feel the goal of AFC exclusively developing and perfecting a "holy grail" anionic exchange membrane was always completely unrealistic.

"The decision was taken during the year that with the short-term demand for products in the field and the necessary focus on the S and S+ Series, that the work on the AlkaMem platform would be decelerated on commercial grounds".

Try that Heath. That tells me that AlkaMem is proving too difficult for AFC so they're dropping their alleged research into it at least until such times as Professor Varcoe et al can perfect it!

Maybe so starre but the parents of babies made deaf from having aminoglycoside wrongly administered when it can now easily be avoided, will be pretty ****ed. You'd think that the money saved from avoiding the inevitable, future litigation would far exceed the upfront cost of acquiring the Genedrive test now. Seems a no brainer!

There must be something to report in terms of progress on AIHL sales. Why wouldn't more NHS trusts be itching to buy this now NICE approved product considering it's profound benefits? Investors were clearly expecting more information on sales by now, hence the complete collapse in the volume of shares being traded. The renewed silence from GDR is disappointing.

Bought in here a while ago and watched it go over a £ and back down again! Wish I hadn't bothered! Let's hope they keep the good dividend to make up for it. It's looking like a long slog to get anywhere near a good sell price though.

If the SP can survive the financial report, when it finally appears, it might have a chance of recovering somewhat. It's clearly the uncertainty of what's in store with the numbers that's preventing any positive SP reaction to recent news. Let's hope the auditors don't give us a kicking!
