What's happened to the 3 merger news we were all expecting?

No. Just sticking with what I've got Bondy. I had a bit of hope, post AGM but that's fading fast due to the continued silence! If I change my view and buy some, I'll let you know.

Well if things don't improve here in reasonably quick fashion, maybe she should stand down too. Her tenure as CEO has been a disaster so far!

This is turning out to be a disaster despite David Budd's recent posting, which implied, at least to me, that things were set to improve. His reassuring posts are now looking a bit misleading, given the current SP and lack of news!

Ah Bondy! I thought you were confident that AFC would've delivered long before now? Are you stretching your timeline in the hope of eventual success or just praying for a miracle?

I see the Green sector is flying today stateside, meanwhile AFC is down 8% on Tradegate! When are we going to hear something positive from Bond et al to at least try to stop the carnage.? After all he said at the AGM that interest in the power tower was increasing so much that he felt they didn't have to announce every new installation as this would not be necessary and time consuming. I'd settle for hearing about one at the moment! The management here are a disgrace!

So it looks like Friday's gain was just an anomaly or maybe a short pump and dump and unfortunately it doesn't seem like we're going to have much joy here, anytime soon. At what SP does Bond's position become untenable? I mean if AFC were a football club, he'd have been sacked a couple of years ago! I think he has to start carrying the can for this investment disaster given his previous bullish rhetoric on AFC's imminent prospects!

You'd think that if the S+ technology was truly cutting edge we might get some interest from Plug or another fuel cell company, particularly now that the MC is so low. Just a thought 🤔

Bond said at the AGM that if there's even a small hole somewhere in the membrane then the whole thing malfunctions and can't be used and from memory, he used the analogy of waiting until e.g. 2030 for AlkaMem or pressing ahead with an alternative in the here and now. Clearly it's a no brainer. I took that as him conceding that a marketable version of AlkaMem is a long way off and so priority is being given to the current approach over further AlkaMem development. He was quite clear on this!

I think this will come good again and maybe surpass previous highs in the years ahead.

I didn't ask anything Halfshell as I just wanted to take it all in as it was my first AGM. Also, another attendee (I think either Jim or Bumble) asked a relevant question around AlkaMem which satisfied my curiosity on this point. I was impressed by Drs. Harvey and Rendall's presentations and Dr. Harvey's clarification around the membrane in use and it's ability to accept less than 5 9s hydrogen although I was left a little confused as to what level of impurity it could handle and whether it was AEM or PEM. I didn't get a chance to speak with him at the end in the ante room as he was engrossed talking to some tall chap and I had to shoot off for an appointment but I left feeling reasonably reassured that things might improve. The recent SP fall and lack of follow up news has been disappointing however. Anyway it was nice to see a significant rise today for a pleasant change. Let's hope it's based on something real and it continues unabated!

I was basing that on AlkaMem not being available Bumble which proved to be correct. They had to improvise by using a commercially available membrane and bring Dr. Harvey in to design the unit but I accept that they have produced a 100kw unit and so in that respect I was wrong and happy to be wrong btw.

Turn left at the main lobby follow the route to the main ante room past registration on the left, with the fuel cell and cracker unit sitting on the far side. Tea, coffee croissant etc. on offer. Then swing round and into the main large room with windows to the right, for the main event. Bond, PD and Gary Bullard sat on the left with the other BOD members sat on the right.

AlkaMem was sold to us as the Holy Grail and was meant to be the means to achieve big power and now it's just been dropped proving it was clearly never a realistic prospect in the first place. I hope the latest iterations of the solid FC prove to be realistic and marketable!

Fair point Heath and I accept the confusion on my part.

If you were at the AGM Halfshell you'll recall Bond's candour about AlkaMem not being useable due to its fundamental structural integrity issues and that AFC shouldn't have floated pre 2016 as it was nowhere near ready to produce a commercially viable product. And all the companies I mentioned provide commercially available products today. AFC don't! That's the point. It may be that eventually AFC will be able to do that and maybe even supply superior and more powerful products but after literally years of stating otherwise, this has yet to happen. If they can pull it off then happy days. What makes you so confident that they will?

I keep it basic and just comment on what I observe with the company which is that over the years it has failed to deliver a commercial product, despite many statements enticing investors to believe that such an outcome was imminent, and now the SP has collapsed again as a result. Punters have been sucked in here by the excessively bullish rhetoric spouted by Bond et al and that's unacceptable in my book. Post AGM we are once again being starved of any updates. Again that's unacceptable. Once they start to deliver I'll start to believe. And Heath, weren't you recently and foolishly trying to suggest that the S cell was using AlkaMem? Wrong! And Halfshell take a look at Plug, Ballard, Proton Power, Ceres, ITM, NEL, Bloom etc.

It's back to normal service here i.e. apart from share options and board changes, shareholders remain firmly in the dark as to what, if anything, is happening around commercial deployment. I mean if you think about it, they have effectively started from scratch with the development of the power towers and ammonia cracker so from 2006 until last year has just been a waste of time. This company badly needs a new CEO with the knowledge and skills to steer a path to success before it's too late and one who's not going to milk the company for all it's worth.
