The rampers have been backed into a corner by the company's continuing failure to deliver any tangible progress so bereft of any plausible argument to support this clearly unsatisfactory performance they have resorted to attempting to close down any alternative views by spamming the board with irrelevant and repetitive posts. This malicious behaviour only reinforces the obvious conclusion that they have been attempting to defend the indefensible by blindly supporting this failing company over an extended period but can now no longer do so with any credibility. It also proves that their efforts are being coordinated, which lends evidence to the suspicion that they are being paid to do this.

Meanwhile this dreadful company continues its news blackout, leaving shareholders completely in the dark as to what is going on with the company they own yet some sycophantic or possibly masochistic investors can find no fault in this clearly unsatisfactory state of affairs! They continue to ramp, refusing to acknowledge what is patently obvious i.e. this company is failing having lost most of its value over the last couple of years, yet they pretend that great success awaits all holders if only they can remain patient for just a little bit longer. They continue to have faith in the CEO even though he has mistakenly stated many times before that the company was on the cusp of commercial success when it was not. Some observers think at least some of these individuals are paid to promote these views. It seems to be the only logical explanation as any objective observer can see that this company is not delivering for its stakeholders and never has.

You're right Bumble, I should've done as AFC's whole business case would have to change if they've started using PEM fuel cells.

It's clear that m3 and others don't understand the implications of no AlkaMem. It is fundamental to AFC's big power ambitions, without the need for pure hydrogen as fuel and with less expensive (due to reduced need for platinum and iridium) electrodes, that AFC have been boasting about for years. Bond clearly said at the AGM that it isn't usable due to its inability to function if even a small part of it disintegrates or gets holed and he said it's therefore been de-prioritised, which I took to mean shelved for the foreseeable future to concentrate on the current setup using a commercially available membrane. So why were they confidently predicting in 2020 that it would be deployed in 2022? Disinformation I'd say!

Answer me these 2 questions Bumble, why has the power cube been taken away as a future product on the new website?

Is the membrane being used in the 100KW ABB unit AEM or PEM?

My understanding is that the electrodes are within the membrane which is why you don't need Platinum with AlkaMem, as it can tolerate an alkaline environment which was the whole money saving advantage of AlkaMem as less pure hydrogen (sourced from ammonia) poisons platinum and iridium electrodes which are in PEM membranes!

AFC Energy has recruited new dedicated members of staff and invested in additional analytic capability, alongside cell validation infrastructure and manufacturing processes, particularly for the AlkaMemTM membrane utilised within the HydroX-Cell(S)TM stack.

The point is Bumble, I strongly suspect the commercially available membrane in the Power Tower, uses platinum. Reading the RNS from 2020 it's clearly misleading as Bond has subsequently admitted, at the recent AGM no less, that actually AlkaMem is unstable as it's physical integrity cannot be sustained rendering it unsuitable for commercial use, so the suggestion in the above RMS that it would appear as a fully finished product, within the Hydroxy - S cell, in 2022 was patently false!

It's all in there including emphasising that AlkaMem is platinum free. Of course AlkaMem is now off the menu, which as I've said before, is a major setback. It does make you wonder how accurate the attached RNS was at the time.

The whole point of AFC was to reduce the use of precious metals in their electrodes, which was what AlkaMem was supposed to do and produce comparable power to PEM fuel cells. I'm guessing that advantage has now not been realised with the power tower set up having to use commercially available membranes. And Trader whether using fuel cells in cars or elsewhere is irrelevant as they all use the same chemistry. Your comment shows your ignorance.

Bond is an expert at convincing investors, including ABB, that AFC are on the cusp of producing an innovative, green hydrogen powered fuel cell generator. Invariably his assurances turn out to be completely baseless as said generator has yet to appear in a commercially viable format. I bet ABB are not impressed with Bond!

Imagine if AFC had perfected AlkaMem it could've offered an alkaline fuel cell solution. I guess the best we can hope for now is supplying the ammonia cracker if it ever gets built. Could it be another AlkaMem fiasco? Wouldn't surprise me!

How long is the longer-term M3? They've been promising jam tomorrow for nearly 20years! The sad reality is that this company has never been close to having a commercially viable product in all that time, despite assurances to the contrary. It's all been smoke and mirrors so far. Let's hope that's about to change but I wouldn't hold my breath.
