The posters who pretend that AFC are doing fine are the dangerous ones. Long and strong johnny! No sign of it whatsoever. Shareholders have been had here with all the false promises.

I bet it's using adapted power tower technology with the same commercially available membrane. The whole point of AFC is to develop their own anionic exchange membrane (AlkaMem) to produce enhanced power outputs in alkaline fuel cells. If they can't do this then I can't see the company fulfilling its ambitions. Let's face it there's something not adding up. I mean the delivery of the 100kw unit should've been the catalyst for a SP recovery at least it would've been if the original terms of the contract had been achieved. Another miss from AB et al it seems.

Where are the results? This company is not behaving like a serious player. Bond is completely out of his depth here. We need to do the same as ITM and bring in a CEO who's got connections and know how, to get this company moving in the right direction.

It isn't helping that DB has gone completely silent since his post on here. I genuinely thought he was signalling to shareholders to expect a change of fortune at GDR but so far it's just been more of the same old. Surely there must be significant interest in the AIHL test now that it's been cleared for commercial roll out. I just don't get why the SP is tanking given the supposed positivity around AIHL and the soon to be revealed stroke marker test.

Yes, that was a nice touch Spacerat and I'm sure reassured ITM investors that their CEO is fully engaged, knowledgeable and aligned with their interests. I just wish we had such a CEO.

You'd think that all NHS trusts would be demanding this test now that it's NICE approved. It should be able to sell itself so I'm confused as to why GDR aren't announcing multiple orders. Meanwhile the SP is tanking. Come on Mr. Budd, let's hear some positive news to reverse this unfortunate trend.

You might well be right Heath but then why explicitly say that the 200kw unit will run "exclusively" on hydrogen? You'd think they'd say if it could run on hydrogen derived from cracked ammonia as this is the big money saver.

I didn't say I know, I said I believe Bumble. Can you not read? I believe this because it's clearly not using AlkaMem, and the 200kw iteration when it finally appears is designed to run exclusively on hydrogen i.e. no fuel flex. That sounds like a stop gap product to me given AFC's main attraction is the ability of their FCs to use less pure and therefore cheaper hydrogen derived from cracked ammonia and my understanding is that that's what ABB ordered but isn't getting.

It would be good to know if they're using a commercially available membrane Bumble as I suspect and if the power output is as expected.(cumulative anyone)They may have supplied a 100kw unit but I don't believe it was to the original specifications as given to ABB. This might explain their sudden change of tack around the previously agreed £2 million payment. If the unit doesn't contain AlkaMem or another in house manufactured membrane then it's not the breakthrough I was hoping for. Let's see what comes out at the AGM.
