shareholders. This principle though will be considered and discussed only when we receive this cash. Now we are busy with the sequestration process. We note from the comments of shareholders that different techniques have been used by other listed companies facing this task, and we will have to

learn the best option. Should we also win the second and third arbitrations, the same process of investigating and considering how to make a proper payout to our shareholders will be started. This strategy is obvious and natural in front of such important payouts, but is a pure indication, not binding and still informal. Shareholders are invited not to rely on that for their decisions to invest till a proper regulatory announcement,

prepared with financial and legal advisors is made. Nevertheless, we wish to create confidence among shareholders that the journey to winning all the 3 Arbitrations is realistic and in this journey they will be remunerated for

their loyalty.

Tunisia has a solid track record of honoring every arbitration it has lost, paying out in full.

Negotiations are currently in full swing.

However, in my view, it would be in their best interest to hold firm and reject anything below $400 million.@zenithenergyltd

All very interesting. Are you prepared to say what you think the outcome will be including Case 3, if there was to be an agreement announced soon? I ask on the basis that the writing has been on the wall for the Tunisians since the outcome of Case 1, and carrying this on to the end will probably only culminate in them having to pay the full extent of all 3 claims, plus interest at $80-100k pm. They MUST want to avoid that, by reaching agreement and a settlement sooner.

Just interested in what you think the settlement might amount to, if you are prepared to have stab.

Tunisia’s national debt is £46bn. Our claim in full amounts to 1.5% of that. It’s equivalent to a claim of £31bn against the UK (£3.1 trillion debt).

I don’t think that ‘grabbing Tunisia’s assets’ is likely because what will such a poor country have that’s worth grabbing???

I just think that in the real world, a compromise will be needed, but let’s see what AC comes up with when he eventually breaks his silence.

I think that we all get the principle, but if we want a country that behaves in this lawless way to actually pay up in a reasonable timeframe, some compromise will inevitably be required. The total we are after, at over $600m, is so substantial that I for one would be content to settle for a lot less (say 50%, which is still a multiple of over 16 x current price) if it was contingent on Tunisia paying promptly.

… can’t take more time than they were allocated originally. I just hope that they are in the final stages of reaching a settlement.

Only drawback is that it tends to indicate an outcome at the higher end of expectations. For all of our sakes, hope you are right, although even a settlement towards the mid range would be tremendous and, to use the word again, life-changing.

I was referring to the period since the first arbitration decision and the 2 interviews between Zak Mir and Andea Cattaneo. I’ve never seen such a spectacular green light to the market! Still, it’s given some of us an opportunity to keep on buying at what are still very low prices IMO.

I agree completely and am surprised it hasn’t started jumping up already. The case for investing is so strong. Maybe it’s just lack of awareness

In case you haven’t seen it, this has just appeared on Zak’s Traders Cafe just now. I hadn’t appreciated previously the detail he covers in his comment but it’s all helpful.

Zenith Energy (ZEN), the listed international energy production and development company, announce that it has completed a private placement with an institution in the United Kingdom, a private placement in Norway with institutional investors. The Company has also issued broker shares to Oak Securities in a raise of an aggregate total amount of approximately £2,310,800. The proceeds of the Placements will be used to fund the Company’s publicly announced international arbitrations against the Republic of Tunisia and ETAP, with specific attention being deployed towards enforcement of the recent ICC-1 Arbitration award, as well as for general working capital purposes.

Comment: ZEN takes advantage of its recent massive share price rise with a fundraise to take its arbitration forward. It is also noticeable that 2024’s star small cap broker Oak Securities is in the frame again supporting the cause.

This is by far the most important section of the RNS. They know what’s going on and are clearly confident.

The Financings have included the participation of new and existing investors, as well three Directors, Mr. Andrea Cattaneo, Mr. Luca Benedetto and Mr. Sergey Borovskiy, respectively the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and a Non-Executive Director of the Company, to raise an aggregate total amount of approximately £2,310,800 (equivalent to approx. NOK 32,611,560 ), resulting in the issuance of a total of 48,538,042 new common shares ("New Common Shares").

Price has dipped slightly on this news as predicted, but I’ve taken the chance to add at 0.058
