I guess many of us have been wondering about that. The ‘shorter procedural timetable’ was supposed to have been agreed on by both sides, so AC must know what the situation is. However, nothing has been said or published since Jan 20 and AC has made no reference to it in the interviews he has done since.

If he doesn’t mention it at the meeting tomorrow, I will ask him.

It’s an important question because it seemed to me to reflect an impatience by the tribunal over what looked to them like a no-brainer decision over Case 1, which they had just decided. My reading of it was that it reinforced belief that Cases 2 and 3 would follow the judgement in 1, and so the process needed to speed up and they could get it all over with, instead of stringing it out unnecessarily.

Much better to settle in arbitration if possible, so payment terms can be built in and, therefore, payment guaranteed. However, we have such a strong case and that was made clear in the decision of the tribunal on the first claim.

We must not be tempted to accept a derisory offer just to bring the process to an end. $400m still feels right to me, nothing less.

I agree and Zak is being very conservative, as he must be. So you estimate a total of 50p through the dividend and sp rise? As a minimum, presumably?

I think his reference to lack of sympathy is to the ‘market makers and bears’ rather than to Zenith and the Tunisians, but he hasn’t been very clear, I agree. I just reflect back to how clear AC was about how Zenith has been totally F’d over by the Tunisians when Zak interviewed him, and Zak seemed to acknowledge that.

In answer to your question about who gets a place at the meetings this week, I can only tell you about my own case. I responded to the general invitation for applications to attend, explaining the scale of my holding in the process. I received an email on Friday night confirming a place.

So what is the purpose of 2 urgent investor meetings? Thoughts?

A video clip relating only to paying up after a decision suggests that they haven’t reached agreement on a settlement. If they had, payment terms would have been agreed as part of it. Maybe no decision has been made yet and we will have to wait until the end of this month before another deadline has been reached.

But then why plan 2 investor meetings at short notice next week?

Yes, too right! We look completely parlous; how pathetic and what a sad decline this marks.

Makes good sense, although I think the question about how they split £321m (if the consensus is correct) is open to question. The split between investing in the company, and therefore directly impacting the sp, and distributing as a special dividend, can be decided in many ways.

And now who thinks there is nothing going on behind the scenes to drive this??? Rumours coming from several sources and big money going in which wouldn’t be risked if there was doubt.

Logically, AC would not be holding 2 meetings at short notice to repeat what he said in interviews weeks ago. It will all become clear next week, no doubt!

If you are seriously interested in answers to your question ‘any guesses’ you might pause the quick fire posting and read back through some really well argued guesses /assessments as to what an outcome might look like.

After a month of stagnation post Christmas, the sp is now jumping up daily. Almost no sells, all buys, for the first time too. Somethings afoot and I think next week will see AC announce a settlement agreement.

Totally agree re LSE being a joke, and Norway being the real centre of gravity now. AC says he will only cover matters already in the public domain, but it would be great if you could report back as I’m sure you will hear something of value even if it’s only an expression of his determination to screw them for the last dollar owed to us

That chart you posted a couple of days ago was spot on - well done! Still think it will go to 20 x after arbitration 3 for those of us who piled in at an avg of 5p?

Whichever way you come at it, and look at the evidence especially from Claim 1’s decision, and consider the wider context especially from Tunisia’s perspective, there has to be a settlement soon if they are to avoid shelling out over $600m plus interest.
