For long term holders, the cheaper the share buy back the better IMVHO.
What matters is that the business is sound going forward. Again IMVHO.

As I have always found your posts here so informative, I started following your other share posts.
I cannot get my head around NFT’s and Bitcoin and so I cannot pluck up the courage to invest there.
All I can say is “wow” you can pick em vis-a-vis COIN.PL.

Hi all. Had I sold my complete holding here, this share would continue to rise without fail.
Sold my Oil shares and now oil is $65 from $50. Maybe I should have read hoe Texas was in snowdown, assuming it was 6 was ago.
Bought some gold, though very small addition in PUR, and look at them today.
What next I ask myself.
When I next buy something, do you guys want to know? ??
Aviva clearly mirrors the ftse, or the other way round he he, apart from improved broker ratings which suggest we will be gradually rewarded.

I respect the regular guys here that spend a lot of time presenting really good information. I also respect posters views even though I may not agree with their point of view.

Directors are employees I thought

The potential buy-back of the Company’s shares is primarily focussed on the occasional purchase of employee shares to assist them with what would have been an otherwise difficult process of realising their shares received via the Company’s incentive scheme. It is not intended for the wholesale purchase of the Company’s shares via market purchase or the purchase of director’s share options.

This is a great perk for the Directors. Their only other route for selling bulk shares is to entice Institutions to take a stake, the route all we PI’s would like to see.

With the BoE making a “ramping up” comment yesterday, maybe gold prices are on a downward curve for some time. Why be in a sound Company like Ariana when it’s unlikely that any real progress is likely to be seen for at least a year. If we really are coming out of lockdown soon, the opportunity to invest elsewhere will be on PI’s minds. Ariana has a huge number of PI’s hoping for the big one to materialise. Gold always excites for some.
It only takes a few PI’s to sell to see this price plummet, despite the value and prospects here.
No institution is even going to bother with this minnow.
So I am here for the big find or take out by the new partner of all Turkish interests.
Ariana will still exist for Kerim to dabble in Copper, which may be an added bonus.
Just my take.

Had these shares for longer than I can remember. Paid around 10 p when net cash was more than this share price. $24m cash and no debt to speak of.
Blakey, Hill and Taylor have managed to “absorb” this cash without any exploration success. This Plc has significant Director shareholding, such that a PI has no say as to how the Company is run. The majority of cash was not, as far as I believe, burned on exploration. Just my opinion and not accusing any of the Directors of any non compliant activity. Clearly they have been very unlucky that no Namibia blocks, run by other Companies, have succeeded.
Just have a look at each years B S from 2013 to get a picture of the burn. Then look at the P&Ls which does give an outline of expenditure.

I am talking about when Salinbas has progressed to the point whereby it’s beyond feasibility.
Years to come before any value can be put on a buyout of our interests.
After all Kerim is an explorer through and through and not a gold producer by nature.
That’s enough of my spouting.
Where is VanVan, that interests me more in the short term!

I am not against a buyout. That is not what I meant at all. Ariana becoming a minority stakeholder I do not want to see us forced to sell at a measly price.

Thanks for that. Megatonnes it is. I wasn’t stupid enough to think we only had 8.5 tonnes. Just as I said ..... confused by the terminology.
I have always thought that Kerim has his head screwed on. Long term here is a nice place to be ....... not sure whether it suits a 71 year old.
I do agree with the comment about large companies S....... on small, but hopefully the controls of 3 directors votes necessary etc will safeguard our interests in Turkey. Let’s hope the legal docs are enforceable in the event of the “eventual buyout” of our interests in Turkey. OMHO

Thanks for the answer. My big misunderstanding has been terminology. Mt stands for Million tonnes or Metric tonne. I cannot distinguish as to which is being used.

Kerim seems to be confident that Cyprus is going to be a real prospect.
Has anyone here got sufficient knowledge to comment on the latest JORC etc as to how viable this might be going forward. How does it compare with other Copper projects?
