In the past. Dollar strength, strong 10y usd rate would have had all the demand sucked out.

Simply having any asset tied to gold price is great.

Not just for the total value. It implies any arguments about would our mine have been economic are easy to win. Also because of the profitability we do not need to prove we needed to extract a huge amount of gold, even a little is enough.

Well 1.7m gbp or 2m usd saves issuing 10pct shares or 10pct of a 300m usd award.

Economically a deal can be done. Because 2m usd in cash is worth 30m usd for us.

Even if it is worth 20m usd, selling it for 2m usd is fine for us.

The current gold price really helps this as costs matter less. But note lower grade deposits are more costly, the saving grace here is the gold is all close to each other so you can do a bulk operation

I think it is a strong case as it was validated by litigation funders who performed 1yr due dilligence.
