Agree tarrifs are tricky as they are economic and political.

I continue to think the hypro problem is much easier than mp materials. They don't need price support as they are projected to be profitable.

They just need a 1 off grant.

Personally much happier with companies in this situation, you want one off help and then to have minimal exposure to government policy flip flops.

It's been said for 3 weeks my multiple people that a raise was due. We had little cash and everyone knows we need to pay for the German equipment.

The only counter argument was something strategic happening to take away the issue but the company cannot control that.

They raised what they need and continue to engage with govs.

For me this is a relief.

The clearly just raised what they need to get the equipment paid for in uk and Europe.

If you check the cotec raising docs it stated their use of funds and what they needed go give mkango for the 20pct ownership.

Looks like we meet our commitments with minimal dilution and we wait to see what happens strategically.

My personal view is this is an illegal expropriation and that it will reference past gold prices and expected future gold prices.

I am not sure if this has been explicitly noted when the calc was released , but I think it was implied.

I think we have been spoilt with newsflow

In a hot sector IMHO there is always a bit of impatience as other stocks move or we wait for the next piece of hot news.

Cotec just said they are looking at 3 plants in a study. They are stockpiling.

They also kept H1 2027 guidance if there was a known delay They could not do that.

The key comment here is the cotec CEO noting that the proposed plant hits the requirements. Wr are shooting for grants for 50 to 100pct of capex.

Big picture here I think.

Even if they needed to spend a few more bucks or take a couple of weeks extra to design what the usa needs what is the fuss.

Or we could not do that and miss out on a huge opportunity

One approach I took was to buy some cotec.

Basically still playing the same fundamental story but using a different method. Cotec is basically the hypro story but they do have some other projects as well.

I might not buy more because the stock is too large a percent of my portfolio but otherwise my past history has no impact.
