Most of Africa is in bed with the Chinese. For me it is just a fact now. They use 50pct of copper.

China also actively builds relationships where west has poor one's. China tie up is fine

Sounds like they also took a strategic view that copper is where they want to be.

Low rates, inflation. Gold should be flying but it is not ( bit coin is). Maybe they think any progress in future is just a much easier sell for funding etc when it is Copper.Copper has uses a clean story with ev and industrial use. Gold...bit more hard to get behind it

In an interview they seemed to indicate it made it more complicated for jv/to.
Basically AA or other not interested in assets would have to sell them etc.

Rns also said chance to buy more of license. If you spent 1.5 mil gbp to even get 5% more would that not be a killer deal :).

Oml 18 already pays to produce so we get 7.3m *75 usd per year. Imagine how much they can expand production with this FCF.

On an interview they said oml had produced 200k barrels a day!
