I'm pinning my hopes on the Cambridge/Zenica crew, literally the best in the world, they were orevious working on a covid x vaccine ( x because they didn't know what it would be exactly ) update on Monday, they also worked on Sars etc and were very well positioned forward for a covid pandemic, hopefully the news is postive, Astrazeneca hasbalready sold a large amount preordered, from what i read previously the manufacturers were happy to move forward into early production on the back of early data seen and previous experience in working with the Cambridge team, i sold out here and went long on Astrazeneca for a few days, lets hope by Monday the its confirmed that the trials so far have been a roaring success

Hmmm, today was finally a postive move up for us, I wouod like to think a leaky ship, but not enough volume, but nonetheless it seems the MM can smell something, normally i cant sell more than 100 or 200k of shares , today I could easily sell 500k, on top of the restrictions on purchases you guys encountered it seems the Mm have been caught short, we hold so much of these tightly it gives them a headache lol, let's hope there's something behind this, volume so small atm so still unsure

The BP assets are worth it, shame its just not in a better climate, PMO could of swerved it and maybe picked up something else at a later date but overall I do see the deal as postive, if you believe a RI is incoming then best to sell n go short n rebuy and go long after the event, stleast then your not diluted and can make money on the down as well as up, personally I see the BP deal as a good opportunity to trade and then go long for a few years, this in 2025 will be a monster, but 2020 a bit of a dog

We will most likely add about 400 million shares, not to bad considering, is a shame that ZAMA couldn't have came in earlier, but still the debt is high and needs to be addressed ASAP, when the markets finally come to a halt any companies with high debt will of course be punished, PMO wil have to suffer some short term pain to achieve some long term gain, mid to long term this looks a great place to be, short term looks a bit rocky to me, to be honest I prefer to be in and out at the moment, due to the current crisis, once the RI is dealt with we should have ZAMA news not to far out which will give us a decent boost up

Let's see on Monday, Astrazeneca up on the rumour of the trials and dates being postive, Monday will be interesting.

Atleast there seems to be someone buying this up with bots, the banks and fund managers trying to keep this higher for the RI, saving the LTH a few pennies on the issue no doubt.

COVID : Cambridge announce on Monday a update on the astrazeneca vaccine, should be positive, oil could rally, if the update is super postive the whole planet might go on a heater.

OPEC increase will hang on the POO, OPEC wants to keep shale from returning, so can't see any major increases on the horizon until atleast autumn, OPEC happy in the 40 - 45 range atm, DBNO is right if WTI drops down to much then it will drop down like a stone.

If the Cambridge update is postive who knows what will happen to the overall markets, most likely a strong rally, but no getting away from the RI here in afraid

RI coming within weeks, I'm not going long until after the event, short until its over, cant see 40-50% more shares not absolutely hammering this

To actively trade long n shorts can be tricky amd most people do not do it, while the perma bulls would never like a short player, the short player will most likely play both sides of the coin, most investors are not doing it as a full time job, the ones that do and make money by playing the market in both directions, should be looked upon as the Holy grail, the board should be happy to have such contributions amd points of view, it can really help long term holders to not suffer so much with equity raises, shares often get caught in trading patterns, we've all seen it, watching amd trying to learn wpuld be natural progression, recognition comes first action comes 2nd, once the step over is made to try and make money both ways and actually achieving profit you will obviously keep on moving forward and developing a strategy which suits your trading style, rarely is a share in the UK worth holding over 20years straight, new news and market conditions should always affect your position and your decision on your investment.

I personally appreciate reading solid good views on markets, oil, shares, opec, interest rates etc, the people that share these views are priceless if correct, lots on all boards talk silly figures, you should see it over on EUA, its down to your own perception to sift through and find the good posters, I normally read about 500 to find 1 decent post, I would say CashFerret has been bang on so far, so why knock him ?

Today's movement seemed ultra strong, previously I was expecting another slow trickle down another few %, PMO has been fighting hard to stay above the 40p mark, oil has heaped pressure on the SP also, until today this looked like a walk down to about the 36p - 30p mark imo, after todays monster afternoon run maybe there is something positive for tommorow, we will see, we know Zama is up for sale and negotiations for the field has been demanded by the government, so maybe so postive news on Zama, can't think of anything else other than some dry hedging and some figures that show a small profit, not enough to warrant todays rally, as long as its not the ri. If it was a buyer moving in i would of expected larger

Wouldn't JPM have loaned some of the purchased shares to shorts to hedge their position, keep it cheaper for their purchase, i thought most of these buyins are generally hedged
