Forgetting for a moment the number of reasons cinema is not about to be replaced by home movies can I just ask how many 45 - 60 foot wide, 30 foot high home screens you have come across?

That alone, no matter the social aspects, sense of treat, dare night, family outing, socialising with others, the feel of watching something designed for the cinema experience with others leads me to say "go away with your home taking over cinema nonsense" It's been covered countless times.

Monday announcement is only relevant in the short term..
SP is likely to move more than it should either positively OR negatively depending on timeframe specific to UK cinema reopening potential within the announcement.
Long-term this is essentially about what happens in US (75% of the business).
Monday offers short term investors opportunity either up or down depending on investment strategy, it makes little odds to the business fundementals which is what will drive any SP movements over next year, 2, 5....

So, how is THE country Cineworld needs open doing?
Biden had stated 100m vaccines in his first 100 days in office which would be by April 30th
This I believe has been upgraded to a desire to achieve 150m doses in that time.
On entering office USA has done 16.5m as off 20 Jan.
28 days since then to 17 Feb they now sit at 56.3m
So that's 39.75m in 28 days, a rate of 1.42m/day.
7 day rolling average now at 2m/day.
Have had 2.2 and 2.3m days so shows the capacity.
To me it looks like they are shaping up to not only achieve, but to smash both initial and upgraded targets.
This, if it continues as it has been trending is FANTASTIC news for Cineworld!!

Notice lower volume last two days compared to previous two (rising SP) days.
Would need to look back to be sure, but feel it has tended to be manipulated back down on low volume days more so than higher volume days.

Another good week is what I see overall.

6, yes SIX days only have seen SP higher than today's high since last June.

2, read that TWO days have had a days low of higher than today!!
This week has been the highest SP range since June.

If looking for double digit growth being a fairly common thing then I guess head to anything crypto currency (accept the risks with it though)
If you want a less volatile, less risky but fair chance of doubling your money (or more) from here over a year then sit back, relax and enjoy the pretty strong reasonably steady ride here :-)
There is still risk (all shares have varying degrees of risk), but we are at least invested in something based on fundamentals of an actual business.

Exactly how many CEO's have released an RNS stating when they are re-opening business in last couple months?
It has ZERO to do with leadership abilities and EVERYTHING to do with government rules.

For anyone that feels disappointed today or on any single other day or coupe days I feel it is always worth looking at historical price of this or any share.
I feel it can offer a better picture and at times settle nerves.
For example while some appear unhappy to see us not only not move into 90's, but drop back into 70's today is actually (at this point) the third highest low Share Price of the day since last June.
Only the previous 2 DAYS have seen a higher bottom during the days trading.
As said we are still on a sustained uptrend.

Certainly seems a strong growth market for it.

Surely depends how fast UK pushes pension age ever higher, he has a chance yet ;-)

Only down on the couple days surge we had. Trending up as it has been for 3 months now.
See how recent we were trading in the 60's, then 70's as we are now.
Now we are at the higher end of 70's

Price wise it would be relatively small beer doffeo for any potential purchaser.
I don't see a takeover now or near future.
When/If it is seriously looked at I expect much more likely when cinemas are open again and economies worldwide have started to find new levels.
