On the re opening RNS talk we have covered number of times Mooky and a great many other company leaders are not in a position to release this even of they wished to.
For the time being all we have in the UK is an EARLIEST date of 17th May.
It would be a poor CEO that issued an RNS to give a re opening date only at this stage.

Personal opinion is we should and are likely to be able to if Cineworld wished to open on/around that date.
Time from now to then should let lockdown/restrictions and vaccine to get us there.
Population needs to largely keep with the programme though (already more than enough not doing so and effectively have delayed our futures).

The vaccine lower numbers in last week has been known for two or three weeks now.
I was slapped down when I mentioned it previously.
It's down to supply flow and having had higher than expected uptake in those first 4 cohorts.
Supply to ramp back up and everything still on governments target (or ahead).

No issue with anyone top slicing, it's most often a sensible investment method.

I see he is now playing his inane bile over on the ADFN website under name LTHTRUST lol..
Using the EXACT same phrases he was here for months re: last year's first half results, second half to come and unprofitable this coming year blah blah.

Been itching to offer different viewpoint for about a week now regards stats.

Not awarding private company the track and trace contract, or at least not one that showed themselves to be useless.
Some of the particular ways care homes and residents were dealt with.

Sadly there were too many mistakes, but we are now where we are and getting more right than wrong at this stage is the best we can do.

Yeah I was FAR too deep into Cineworld so overall can't have too many regrets when I sold some at 72p.
Things looking better from the dark dark days and clearly more profit was there and likely still.
Company does still have same fundamental problem to be resolved. US needs opened with stream of movies AND need to be able to reduce debt.
Hopefully will without negative impact to holders, but nothing in life is guaranteed.
Well except....
(Have used the sale proceeds reasonably well, nothing with as high a short term gain potential but near zero potential of loss and all but guaranteed steady returns for years ahead).
Window of opportunity in not so sunny Scotland, might get out a walk without as much rain now.

Absolutely agree most sensibly would have already used all possible tax efficient methods.
Was just thinking if someone found themselves in position of a substantial gain in some shares and had not either known, thought of or change of circumstances meant they could use that to help.

Would I be right to say an option regards the 30 day rule would be to " bed and board" the shares if person had not already utilised their annual Shares ISA allowance.

Abrooking you miss completely that if I sell 10 at £1 and buy 10 at 90p or 11at 90p my cost has not gone up.
I have still got a lower overall cost for each share I hold and hence averaged down.
Try and at least be civil as PinkEye and myself both largely have during this different viewpoint.
I am pretty sure PinkEye and I understand what each other is saying and how we come to conclusions, we just disagree on method.

Yes re gains and taxation was not what was being talked about when I first engaged regards average of someone's shares holding.

We disagree, I am moving on with no grudges held.

Agree re profits and point of CGT.
I also understand what both yourself and Abrooking are saying re "new" average or buy in price.

All that has happened during this exchange is both yourself and PinkEye have shown to have less of a grasp on financial matters than have shouted for some time on this board.
It must now make anyone that actually has a good grasp of arithmetic and finances here to both of you regards how genuine either's previous claims are. :-)

The other part you miss with your example is that the shares you had left over having sold part holding are no longer ave cost of 2p (you banked profit which you use as a cost at later point) therefore those shares are actually at a negative ave cost at that point.

No as Scotland and Wales are a miniscule part of the business (UK as whole is only 10 - 15%).
