Neil, if you were to look at my posting history here you'd think I was only invested in EUA but that's far from the truth. I don't think you can judge someone's portfolio based on what the comment on.
I have 16 other investments at the moment. Most are fairly safe and stead growth companies that have done me well for years so I've never felt the need to chat to strangers about them. EUA is a more interesting one because of the potential sale so I pop in here once in a blue moon to see how things are going and it's the same old story day in, day out. People bickering about who has the biggest portfolio and how many people they can filter. It's ridiculous.

Lucando, I'm not a trader, I'm just a retired old bloke that has a few investments that will hopefully make me some money to fund a few holidays then eventually pass down to my kids when my time is up. I invest based on the potential future performance of a company. I have invested in EUA because of the potential future sale that should be at a value well in excess of the SP I invested at. If a few people decide to short EUA while I'm invested, good for them. Having seen the SP slide from 30p to 7p in the time I've been watching EUA, the shorters have probably made more money than those that haven't shorted. If it annoys you that the shorters are making profits, maybe you shouldn't invest in a company with a declining share price.

Lucando, I've seen lots of people mention 'taking profits' from their investments which involves the selling of shares and increasing the amount of shares available. So I still struggle to really understand the difference. Shares are bought and sold in every single stock, every single the market is open. Does it really matter if it's for a short or not?

FYI, I'm not a shorter and wouldn't have the slightest clue how to short a share.

Can someone please explain to me how someone else opening a short position has any effect on any investment you might hold in EUA? People seem to get so upset about it but I just don't get it. You're basically betting on the SP going up and they're betting on it going down. Is it not the same as one person placing a bet on Man City to win the title and someone else betting on Liverpool to win it? They may have opposing bets but neither of them are actually influencing what the end result is ultimately going to be.

Aspenwood, on this board you can tell people the sky is blue and the grass is green, you'll still find people to disagree with you.

We've already had a couple of RNS that have said the current sanctions don't affect us. I assume we'll only get another RNS if that were to change. There's only so many times they can tell us nothing has changed.

Neil, I don't think a sale will be enough to stop Mac's daily cut and paste. He'll still be here long after this is all over finding something to cut and paste. The big difference is that the rest of us will have less of a reason to check in here.
I'm hoping that the divident paid out as a result of the sale is big enough that I can sell any remaining shares and I'll never have to come back on this forum again to see what's going on. The wait for this sale has been a long one but fingers crossed it eventually becomes a profitable one for all involved.

Yesterday's RNS suspended trading and be no reason for it.
Today's RNS resumed trading and gave no reason for it.

They can and they did suspend with no reason given.

Suspension could last hours, days, weeks or months but if the next announcement is the big money sale it'll be well worth the wait.

CTC, I appreciate that but as there have been so many of them lately, if EUA was going to hit any radars, the content of the RNS probably doesn't matter, the fact that there have been loads of them would get them noticed if anyone was interested in them for sanctions. The reality is, EUA isn't a Russian company holding Russian money so the sanctions are irrelevant.

EUA have issued 2 RNS about there being no impact from the sanctions and a board statement RNS clarifying there is no impact from the sanctions. There have also been numerous Price Monitoring RNS over the last few weeks. Would any of those RNS have been issued if EUA were trying to hide under the radar?
EUA haven't been sanctioned because they aren't a Russian company holding Russian money so there is no need to hide under the radar.

Folio, it's great saying 'add something to the conversation' but there is absolutely nothing to say about EUA at the moment and there hasn't really been much to add for a long time. Most current holders in EUA are holding out for the asset sale leading to the dividend payout. None of us know when that'll happen so we're all just holding and waiting. The SP will go up and down (mainly down) while we wait but until the big RNS drops, the SP is kind of irrelevant.
The people like Mac and Tilly that post on here dozens of times a day, every single day are doing so for their own amusement. Surely they know that anything they post on here isn't going to affect their investment. I've said it many times before, this forum is for entertainment purposes only. Whether posters are positive or negative, nobody should be taking investment advice from a forum like this.

I'm 100% sure I was filtered within days of joining this forum as I've challenged Mac on his meaningless posts many times before.

If you believe that Mac, why do you continue to cut and paste info from previous annoucements on a daily basis. The full history of all RNS are there for all to read and any genuine investor will have read them so your posts add nothing other than stroking your own ego.

Hughez, how can you say that Sceptik has absolutely nothing to back up his statement. We have historical price charts that back up exactly what he is saying. There is only one way to interpret the charts and that is a very consistent long term downward trend.
There has been news shared via RNS in the past but all that has done is to fuel the downward trend. There have been a limited number of positive announcements giving a short term bounce but those gains are very quickly lost.
I'm still invested here and I still hold out hope of a recovery and eventual profit but I'm expecting to be waiting 5 years plus to get the maximum gains from SYME. I can't see any news coming any time soon that would give us a massive jump in SP. I'd actually be pretty happy with news every 2 or 3 months that gave us a 20% gain on each announcement. I'd rather see slow and steady gains over a reactionary jump that gets pulled back again.

If the Chinese were desparate to get their hands on the assets that EUA have and they're happy to pay over the odds to get control, why have we been waiting 2 years with very little progress made so far. Offers have been mentioned but as far as an actual sale being agreed we've heard nothing and still have absolutely no idea of whether a sale will be weeks, months or years away.

Literally can't come on this board without seeing a post about MrBasse filtering someone yet he has the audacity to call others out about 'constand glass half empty moaning'.

Filter whoever you want but nobody cares who you filter. You don't need to announce it to the world.

You must be the most boring poster on here and that's quite an achievement.
