George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I'd also take a 10% rise any day of the week but I'd never call it Herculean or Biblical. We've had days with a 10% rise on no news at all.
I'm happy to judge it on a week's trading but unless there is further news this week the rises will be neither Herculean or Biblical.
If you were capable of actually reading and understanding the RNS then this mornings reaction seems about right.
I said over the weekend I'd be absolutely delighted if this got to 40p today. I'd be very happy if it can get back to the 20% rise we saw on open.
The bigger rises will come with more news further down the line.
Imagine describing this news as Herculean and Biblical only to be proved wrong by the market.
The market doesn't lie.
Sure he'll have excuses and still claim this is huge but if I was Tillywhiz I'd be slightly embarrassed this morning at my total lack of understanding of what last week's RNS actually meant.
Opening at 20% and quickly dropping back to 10% is neither Herculean or Biblical. The wait for that kind of news continues for now.
Shaun, if you'd read the previous post you'd have seen it wasn't my analogy, I just followed up on Optimists analogy.
Like it or not, it's roughly what's happening here.
EUA haven't actually physically bought anything for the 500k they've spent. They've bought the potential to have an opportunity.
Optimist, by my reckoning we've paid a builder a £500 deposit to potentially come and put a garage on the side of the house. We think we know what the garage will look like but we have 2 years to decide if we want to build all of the garage or just part of it or even none of it. At the moment the house isn't any more valuable but the potential has certainly grown.
For that reason, I think the short term SP will see a little growth but not huge until further news.
I'd be delighted if this closes around 40p tomorrow but I'm more interested in what the SP will be like by the end of April once we have a better understanding of exactly what this RNS means and what the implications really are.
There's no point seeing an 80p close tomorrow if it spend the next month dropping back to current levels again.
I wonder how much backpeddling there will be from the keyboard warriors when there is little impact on the price tomorrow.
No, I doubt it. They'll just find someone else to abuse despite them being right.
Do you not think your life would be happier if you just concerned yourself with your own investments?
It makes no difference to your life at all if others lose on an investment.
So apparently buying in to EUA and topping up further is classed as "flapped like a beached flounder" because I don't join in the childish pirate role play or cut & paste the same nonesence every day or have a need to have my ego stroked by incessant ramping. Yeah OK Tilly.
The sooner you realise the better that the SP is the same for all of us regardless of ramping, deramping, filtering, abusing others or just sticking to the facts and debating like adults.
Good night and have a nice weekend. x
Tilly, I'd love to see where you think I have been negative about this stock in the past. I've been negative about the childish level of posting we see every single day on this board but that has absolutely nothing to do with how i feel about the stock itself. I have great belief in the positive future of EUA. I'm on the fence about how big today's news will prove to be. It may be a very important step to herculean news but I'm not fully behind the belief that this particular news was the Herculean news we've been waiting for.
Anything less than 100% rise on Monday will say to me that this was good (or substantial as that was the word you used) news but not quite Herculean. This is AIM where Herculean news can see a 500% rise in a heartbeat.
You've described this as herculean news yet you've predicted the SP will only rise 40-75%. While admit that's a good rise to potentially see in a single day, I'd expect much more if this news is as big as some people are saying.
Personally I'd like to see 80-100p on Monday if this news is as huge as some are saying.
Personally I don't understand the RNS enough to make any claims of this being Herculean.
Mac can cut and paste til the cows come home which doesn't prove he knows anything. This RNS gives the real experts a chance to prove they understand what's really going on. I'll happily admit I have absolutely no clue but I've never pretended to claim I know anything.
Mac, what's your approximate prediction for an SP on Monday? Small rise? Huge rise? Not much impact?
Someone might need to keep asking these questions because I'm probably filtered as well.
There seem to be a lot of people that don't understand this RNS. In fact I've yet to read a comment from anyone that seems to understand it properly.
We'll find out on Monday morning what the market thinks. Until then I'll try not to think about it too much.
If your understanding is correct and EUAs assests are valued at 90 times more then the current MCap surely we can expect a very significant rise in SP very quickly on Monday morning. Would a 1000% rise on Monday be reasonable?
I'm trying to make the point that news can drop 24/7 and it will be distributed to the media 24/7.
Friday is no different to Monday which is no different to Tuesday.
If the news is good the price will go up regardless of the day of the week.
If the news is bad the price will go down regardless of the day of the week.
You mean the same websites that run 24/7 and will post the news whenever it drops any day of the week?
Funny you used the DAILYmail as your example
Sunday papers???? How very 1990s. I'm pretty sure the news will make it round the world on various websites long before it's printed on paper.
If the RNS is going to make the price rocket then it'll do it whatever day of the week it drops.
