Even the rampers have to admit that since this peaked at about 42p last year, EUA has performed extremely poorly. Some of the news that's been released has seemed positive but the SP performance has been anything but positive.
I'm in at just under 30p so I'm well down at the moment. The big payout always seems to be just around the corner but so far it's not materialised. I guess until the big payout comes the de-rampers will be right but if the sale comes through and we get a significant divident the rampers can finally have their moment and be proved right. Fingers crossed that day actually comes. We've been waiting long enough.
Mjs, yet again you're assuming it's only the deramping posts that have an influence on the share price and you say I'm naive.
There are ramping and deramping posts on here every single day. The are buys and sells every single day. While some buys may be because of something they've read on the Internet and some sells may be because of something they've seen on the Internet, ultimately it's the genuine perceived performance of the company that affects the share price.
Of course there are exceptions like when Gamestop shot up in value because of a Reddit campaign but things like that are rare. Usually these boards are for entertainment only.
If you think that anything that's said on these boards has any influence over the share price at all then you need to sell your shares, log off these boards and walk away from investing. The messages on these boards have absolutely zero influence on the share price.
There is constant ramping every single day on every board I go on but that doesn't seem to increase the price of shares every day. But as soon as there is a price drop the derampers get the blame for influencing the MMs.
If you genuinely believe that messages on here can influence the share price then please get a lot better at ramping and make us all rich.
That was my initial reaction when I checked what the current Mcap was but I would hope/assume that the only way the company would get to a point of exercising the full value of the £56m loan notes is if the company were seeing substantial growth. So while it may look like a potential of 50% dilution now, the first 2 or 3 tranches of loan notes could see the company grow 2 or 3 times. By the time the 10th tranche is exercised the company could have grown 10 times the Mcap it is now so the total diltion would only be 5%.
Possibly hopeful thinking but when the share prices drops 12% on this kind of news, hopeful thinking is all we have.
It's certainly a frustrating time. If you listen to all the rampers on this board you'd expect this share to be sitting a lot higher than it does today. Most on this board see this as a get rich quick guarantee but that doesn't seem to be the case. It may eventually make us all rich but it's not happening as quickly as we'd hoped. I'm still in this for the long game. Currently sitting on a loss but happy to hold as long as it takes to see where it can take us. Hopeing to be able to take profits this year but if it's next year or the year after, so be it.
Micky, how would that have made you rich? A consolidation is cost neutral to all investors.
"Stop replying to them, they bring absolutely nothing to the table here, they never have"
Say the man that probably mentions them and replies to them more than any other poster on this board.
The SP has dropped in real terms today.
**BREAKING NEWS**
It's possible to invest in shares without posting about it on a public forum.
I currently have in shares in 19 different companies but I've only ever posted on 3 or 4 of them on these boards. I need to double check but I'm pretty sure all my other investments haven't disappeared just because i haven't posted about them.
I've been investing since the early 90s and the one thing I've learnt over the years is that actual profit in the bank is better than holding out for paper profits that may never arrive.
If you sell out at a profit that could have been a bigger profit it's annoying but nowhere near as annoying as holding on to a share than ultimately tanks and gives you a big loss.
There are always going to be shares that can make you very rich if you invest in the right place but no one is ever going to be in every profitable share every time. Pick you battles, take your wins and don't look back.
Trick, I'd love you to explain your logic of this jumping up to 100p on the basis of a 10p dividend.
Let's say for example you owned 100k shares at a current SP of 30p (for arguments sake to make maths easier)
You'd currently be holding £30k worth of shares of a company with roughly £1bn MCap
EUA then sells off a sufficient amout of the company to issue a 10p divident so you'd get a £10k payment.
The SP of the company would be unlikely to rise because of the size of the company would be less than before due to the assets that were sold off. It would be more likely the SP would drop to 20p to account for the 10p that had been paid out.
I can't see a scenario where a 10p divident due to an asset sale would boost the SP.
Whaaaaaaat? Are you trying to tell me people say things on a public forum that aren't 100% gospel truth? Surely not. Who would do such a thing?
It says in the RNS that the transaction date was 12th May.
No need to make any assumptions when it's written there in black and white.
The company has been in an FSP for about 12 months. Their primary objecive is to sell the company or at least part of it. They have to be cautious that it may not happen but everyone involved wants it to happen so the chances of it not heppening have to be very slim.
Did you read the RNS or just not understand it?
Having now read the RNS 3 or 4 times, here is my interpretation of what it actually means.
* confirmation that EUA have been in discussion with several interested parties
* EUA have narrowed down the list to those that are very interested
* Several bids have been received
* One of those proposals is from a very credible party to buy almost all of EUAs assets.
* EUA is no longer in an offer period
* EUA will now progress the details of the best offer on the table
* If this offer is to be taken up by EUA, the shareholders will receive a dividend payment equivalent to the value of the asset sale
* EUA are committed to continuing to develop and grow the company so if we don't see a full company sale there will be a strategy in place for further development of the Rosgeo JV as a PGM & battery metals producer
My personal interpretation of all of the above is that in the fairly likely event that a deal is concluded between EUA and the 'credible party' anyone currently holding shares in EUA will become significantly richer in the very foreseeable future.
I think a better prediction would be the price we're at Friday's close. I expect to see 40p tested.
I moved my holding over to an ISA a couple of months ago. Luckily I had the funds to buy new shares in the ISA then sell the old shares. I wouldn't want to risk selling before Re-buying at the moment. Imagine getting the timing all wrong and missing out on the dividend.
I used HL for my ISA.
Anything north of my buy in price of 29.7p will give me a free ride going forward.
If it's a full or substantial sale then it has to be a lot higher than that value. Definitely 100p+.
I would have thought a suspension would have been included in tonight's RNS so I think it's unlikely.
A significant rise in the SP is far more likely tomorrow.
