RE: Casa sale29 Mar 2021 19:50
I suppose possibly Tom, but it was what AA needed us to commit to at the time. Either way the EA will make any potential competitors pay attention and creates a nice competitive tension (we know others are hovering).
That said if only average deals are forthcoming, or below average then I'd rather see us say no thanks and carry out and raise the FCF from production by end next year.
The market isn't rational, it's very much driven by sentiment and for me personally with the backdrop of copper and our assets and management and strategy laid out I defo see plenty of options to achieve success.
I will have lost tens of k on this dip (of profits though to be fair) but I won't even look at that as
it will only make me think irrationally. I just ask myself has the reason I built a position changed and the answer ATM is no.
I am in the camp that I think everything is happening for a reason and have faith in those in charge to make the decisions. I have faith they are being made with a view of the full picture that we can't be privy to ATM.
Clearly many disagree with my view and have decided to sell following the small placing etc etc
This hasn't been helped with the legal bits and casa monies but I'm not worried about them at the moment. They are risks, but they are just risks to watch imo albeit they won't be playing into our favour short term with market sentiment. I don't think either of those things change the overall company outlook.
Let's wait and see I guess
