@tom it's just what markets do. Look at most stocks that have done well, they fluctuated on the way. I still believe in ARCM and maybe more importantly our asset and a copper supercycle so imo it's a strong hold even a buy if I hadn't already got so many.
It Is clearly a high risk stock, with potential volatility to boot. While we would all like a rising shareprice the recent situation with legal, casa and small placement has been overreacted to in the market IMO.
I'm holding for that to change when all become clearer. That said each to their own, it's always a personal decision.
Can't blame people if they decide it's not for them etc.

Peggy - Based on the post of what you wrote that's been shared, and the fact you are saying you actually bought around that price evidences one of a few things to me. Either;
1. You didn't believe in the company but decided to throw more in to try and 'gamble' your way out. Given (I assume) you are still holding this doesn't seem likely.
2. You post negatively here whenever you see a window in an attempt to maximise your entries. and /or
3. You're not worth listening to as you don't back your own argument, and are simply a chancer even though you don't believe in your own investment. If you did you'd have sold and not bought when you posted what you did.

I'm opting for option 3. Each to their own and every entitled to their own views but given you don't follow your own advise. I will take your ideas with a pinch of salt.

I welcome both sides of a debate when they or the poster have credibility.

Longfell, imo crazy to sell and take that loss on this news.
Assuming the person invested based on the broader picture, after research. That said, everyone has there own situations and drives I suppose.
Based on the fact nothing has fundamentally changed here from why I invested selling isn't an option atm. This imo was a buying opportunity. I'm already holding enough so didn't add but selling wasn't a consideration.
Overall imo the pictures only improved here in last few weeks. The fully diluted share position is 50 million shares less than it was, after this small raise, when factoring in the 75 million surrendered options.
We have more assets, confirmed next steps for more exploration soon and NvS didn't have to say anything about the AA situ but confirmed its progressing very positively; which was basically a nod to say don't panic in my view.

While I get that this raise wasn't anticipated, and has frustrated some, selling due to that emotion may be an error. I think anyone who sold on this at sub 7p instead of bought or holeld are likely to look back on it as a lesson learnt, regret or both.

I may be wrong. I'm open to that but I'm backing my research and in that regard nothings changed.

So in short I'm of the view it looks bad form but imo I suspect we've had to commit our cash position as part of the deal with AA which is under NDA.

Perhaps they are going in with AA too buy out the current minority partner, perhaps they've put it all in as their share of the costs as part of a JV drilling campaign, perhaps it's because of a buyout and to avoid being deemed a cash shell under aim rules and was advised by Rothschild.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps....

If you believe we have a massive copper asset, that copper is going to be a strong commodity, and that we have lots of interest in the asset from others, can be cash generative 2022 I see this as just part of the story.

This is basically the time to decide what you think and back yourself. Sell, buy or hold.

It's all a bit odd but I won't bother second guessing. I expected it to rebound better given the minimal dilution. However I think it's more the principle of the raise however little so soon after telling all were all cashed up. I suspect it's all linked to the deal somehow and so I will reserve judgement. Personally I suspect arcm had to commit cash as part of any deal structure, and therefore they had to raise to get this asset but Nick can't say that. Apart from what he did about very positive progress with AA.

I'm not budging based in this to be honest. I'm reading between the lines. Let's face it it's less than a third of the recent options surrender

I did look on website before, and couldn't see any mention of a JV etc on the KSZ but I don't trust the absence of information as being confirmation. So often the websites are an after thought lol.

I should be able to remember this given my position here and I have read the pertinent RNS' but.....

Am I right in saying only the KCB Project and the Ditau fall within the JV with POW?

The Kalahari Suture Zone (with the Norilsk potential) isn't within this JV with POW? Is it 100% KAV?

The way I previously read it all (from memory recall) was that the JV with POW over the KCB / Ditau worked for KAV as it enabled them to crack on with the exciting potential at KSZ

Is this accurate to your knowledge?

Donechalks the amount is tiny they don't need to explain any more than they have.
Seriously a handful of us on here between us have that amount of shares, the important thing about this news is that imo it tells us more than what's been written (as per my longer post).
Needs perspective this is a tiny amount of shares esp after the surrender of 3 X this many shares by bod !

This amount of this raise inconsequential which is what makes it so curious.
In the investor call we were informed we were in the best cash position of our existence with cash until end 2022, not including or reliant of CASA payment.
So we were funded for drill until 2022, but use a low amount of cash which we could have funded without raising. It's not as simple as it seems.

Shooting off the hips here but I would stab at the existing cash has been tied up in the deal structure with AA.
I won't speculate too much on specific % or £ /$ amounts but just the principle that the cash we were know we have is 'alloted'.

It could mean we have an asset to go alone and sell licences to AA
It could be we've committed existing cash as part of a JV
It could be we've committed our cash reserves to partake with AA in a buyout of the current minority holder of our assets to finalise a cleaner deal, and AA will then find the drilling off existing assets (I like this one) etc etc

Still too many options and variables to what the deal could be but imo
1. 23 million shares is tiny, especially after the bod just cancelled 75 million options. Possibly to help off set this and because they know they wil be 'inside' with all the discussions occurring.
2. Throws more confidence at a deal being done here and that existing cash has been committed as part of the deal of existing assets with AA.

Let's face it anything is possible. So IMO I focus on is a deal likely and will it be beneficial to ARCM and shareholders. It's a yes from me on those and ever more likely something is announced on agreement with AA soon.

Pb where did you get 1.4 billion fully diluted. I believe from memory when I assessed it was closer to 1.3 and that was before the cancellation of options. So with this new piece of funding would put us at about 1.25 billion ballpark

I'm not doing PR for my stocks, and it's mainly the same people in all these places, so what's the point.
Imo the defense would be something along the lines of not having to listen to nonsense, or to avoid the 'tribe'.... Something along those lines.
Each to their own though I guess.
Just my opinion here but although I don't agree with everyone here on everything, some Pro arcm some against etc, it's important to be in a forum with those that provoke at times, with those labelled rampers and derampers etc.
To basically be open to other views to choose to ignore them, research to see if valid, or to counter the argument. While we all get annoyed at times I do overall believe that having an open forum with a spectrum of views and actually even being annoyed by a bulletin board is actually important.
If you fill a room of like minded people you'll probably only ever get confirmatory statements.
Anyway, is what it is. Nothing against those who choose to post elsewhere but sadly it makes the colorful and validity of all the forums (this included) a more diluted and less worthwhile place to communicate.

Just think of this RNS as just procedural.
Block listings have less visibility over the future allotments being issued so requirement to be transparent.
It's not linked to deal etc.

Personally I'm keeping my mind open to all outcomes in terms of any commercial transaction. The short term price risk we have here is those who are buying build a view and an entire pre conception of what the deal will be, before it's announced. Those same people short term can easily drive the price on a deal being announced, especially if the expectation is set too high. It ends up being a buy the rumour sell the news event.

IMO best course of action now as an investor is no course of action, to actively avoid too much speculation.

I'm bulish here as everyone knows and I've built a large position here by far my largest ATM and I am largely (almost exclusively) invested in copper focused miners/explorers.
My reasons for copper is what I believe to be the upcoming supercycle and copper specifically because it's not easily replaceable in the supply chain, electrification etc etc (also I'd echo all the points in the post from Aprogerson earlier today).

I'm hopeful and anticipating a deal however it's best to assess price targets and possibilities once that deal is announced when its structure is known.
In summary the short term price will be driven by anticipation and then how the deal meets any expectation. It could fly, or it could fall.

I currently intend to hold come what may as over a timeframe beyond the next three months I believe ARCM market cap will be much higher. No deal they go alone to near(ish) term production and already funded exploration up to production, or a deal is done. Some form of capital injection is obtained and a serious player to expedite finding those main ore bodies.

Anyway. Just my opinion. To temper the discussion of expectation. Nothing wrong in dreaming what ifs just stay open minded is the point I'm making.

I agree Aprogerson. I don't use technical data to find stocks by patterns etc personally however I do use them for entries, exits based on support and resistance. I occasionally see a range trading stock and buy and sell that.
As for ARCM today I don't understand why such strong views over a tweet. Institutional investors are good imo and as this develops they will come more. It's not a signal of distress, desperation or pots of gold.
Today's price action is a natural swing after a move up. It's to be expected imo. It may get gobbled up or retrace a bit but what happens today doesn't matter unless you bought for a swing trade timeframe or a day trade. Nothing wrong in that either.
It's always a tug of war and market makers finding market.
It's just market dynamics.
