I don't understand why with all those companies named, we haven't seen some growth in the share price. Is it just that the market doesn't believe the company?

Granted there is a lot I don't understand so this may seem a stupid point to most readers of this forum.

I second the thanks to those reporting back. I wasn't able to watch but will hopefully catch it later.

My eyes zoomed in on the Coke and Tate news but I am gleaning from the general tone that nobody who was actually there was overly optimistic about it.

It's certainly a very pleasant surprise. On decent volume too after weeks of very low volume. With Opti someone always know something before the fact so hopefully good news coming.

I stopped posting my updates from store visits because I didn't want to add a constant stream of negativitybut it hasn't been good. I always ask the staff if our products sell well and the response is always 'no'. In addition, the Cheapside store didn't have any of our products at all the last time I went in there a couple of weeks ago.

I just can't get over the fact that our packaging is so poor. Furthermore, the porridge we produce is itself very poor quality in my opinion as someone who loves porridge and has eaten many types and brands. Ours is more like Ready Brek

It's true. Speaking for myself I'm weary of these deals absent the sales to go with them.

The cynic in me wonders whether the Sweet payment is worth it for to them to just style potential competition to their other products.

Yeah it was wierd. Obviously a glitch in their system. Was strange because it was rising during the day by huge increments. Got me excited for a moment.

According to Yahoo finance over 1 million shares were traded today and the share price didn't budge an inch.

I'm assuming that's a mistake from Yahoo finance. Am I right?

If it is correct it is one of the stranger days of trading I've seen

Just popped into H&B on the King's Road.

Products are ok situated to the middle of the shop. Unfortunately the sell by dates on the 3 products I looke at were Jan 23 for porridge, and Dec 22 and Sept23 for the other slim expert products.

Not a great sign for the porridge at all

Have you got a theory as to why he's been quiet?

Have you got a paid subscription with him?

I used to get emails from him that were free but in an effort to clean my inbox I unsubscribed to it.

To be honest, I remember getting worked up by his promises of a huge market cap years ago and became a bit disenchanted with him after that failed to develop.

What has been his recent musings on us?

Is there anything to spin off yet? Would have thought there would need to be some sales. To be honest, that’s the only reason I’m invested here anyway because I saw a future in it but not as a spin off. That future has taken so long to come about though that I am long past hoping that it will.

Looks like a decent bit of exposure. I wonder if it was in the print edition too.

And I've just realised that my miserable reply was to someone called 'Joy'. That made me chuckle.

Is that a first for Opti and is it a good, bad or neutral sign?

I thought we were in the product development business not the distribution business for other products that we don't own.

Although on a weekly business it seems I didn't Do My Own Research anywhere near as comprehensively as I should have done with this company so I could be wrong about the above.

If it brings in revenue and somehow leads to revenue growth for the products we do own then excellent. If it is a distraction from developing sales of our own products then it seems like a bad idea. Is it also possible that diversifying like this is a sign that the management no longer believe in their ability to develop and sell their own products?

Unfortunately I have had my optimism for this company replaced by large doses of cynicism so I do apologise if that negativity doesn't contribute here.
