Hmmm I don’t think it will be very many. I think the objective of this exercise is to get new institutions with what someone else on here described as “sticky hands” on the share register, so I’m hoping that the net effect will end up being that the guys who got scaled back come in looking for more.
I guess that, while they were trying to raise institutional interest, one of the objections raised by investors may have been the difficulty of building a meaningful holding in what can be a pretty illiquid market. That may have been one of drivers behind going down the placing route to kick start the process.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Peel Hunt approached HZM with the idea, in order to nick the brokership off Numis. That may be a speculation too far though.....!

I could be wrong but I would hope that this placing has gone into long term holders. I.m not sure they are in it for a quick turn.

You can for a bit, but not for very long. You do have pricing/dealing obligations which means that holding down the price against the market will mean you get lifted, possibly repeatedly. And I think doing it with inside knowledge of, and to facilitate, the financing arrangements would be a big regulatory no-no.

I should say, it's not possible for a MM to hold the price down for any length of time if there are buyers around.

It's not really possible for one MM to hold the price down. They are also very unlikely to know the details of any finance deal in advance. If they artificially held the price down, because of knowledge of an impending finance deal, they'd be up before the beak

There was virtually no improvement on the offer on RSP.

Just one point..... while we all expect good news on financing in the next few months (guided by the co to H1), the financing deal is not yet tied up.
