Serious question....why not?

Too many traders and gamblers with too much concentration risk, and too little ability to bear paper losses. Also minimal liquidity leading to wild swings on relatively small T/O

The firm I used to work for were quite big cheeses on AIM but I must admit it was only when I started investing a bit more aggressively post retirement that I realised how Mickey Mouse some aspects of it are.

That doesn’t mean, of course, that there aren’t wonderful opportunities on AIM. This is one of them, in my view.

There will always be arbitrage. It will be imperfect but it will always be there. If the prices get significantly out of line there is free money to be made, and that is an opportunity no MM can pass up

The house broker’s MMS won’t have inside knowledge of the timing of finance.

Possibly, but they will have single instrument limits which will constrain their ability to do that. If they have a bullish view they are more likely to just try job it on the bull tack. Also if they are just accumulating they won’t build up a limit long position at one price, they’ll buy some, then lower their bid to see if they can get more cheaper.

The lack of response to the +ve financing and operational news is why I don’t expect an instant re-rate on confirmation of financing. It will come, but it may not be instant. Rewards will be great for the patient.
