Since this is not new news, the Nickel market must have been aware, and as far I can see there has not been much negative effect. I think the nickel price would be the most sensitive market to this kind of news and it doesn’t seem bothered, so I don’t think we should be either.
"Am I right in my assumption that the TR1 has listed 4 investment firms, so beyond those we don’t have visibility? I realise it is probably just fund managers. I’m not a flat earther ??"
I think those are just custodians. It seems slightly odd to me (others on here might be able to confirm if this looks normal?) that there are 4 of them though, so it might be that there are different custodians for different accounts at Polygon
I think their previous disclosure of total holding, including financial instruments, was 12.218%. The new total including financial instruments is 13.396% so that crosses a round 1% mark.
The FCA guidance that Trek kindly posted says financial instruments should be included "as a result of an acquisition or disposal of shares or financial instruments falling within DTR 5.3.1 R’"
New variants might give us a lift, increased immunity from booster vaccines might hold us back a bit. I’m sure most of us here are looking at the global picture The UK experience has lessons for the rest of the world - the world is not yet in a position where you can just ignore coronavirus.

Lads and ladies, I apologise, it was rather rude. I’m afraid I thought it was quite funny and got carried away, but I can see it’s not a suitable comment for this board.
@GPS1 wrote "I have just tried a dummy sell but couldn’t get a price. I would have thought it would be easy to sell when the price is flying. What am I missing?" Most MMs set their RSP to turn off automatically during auctions to avoid getting hit/lifted at funny prices.
"they are not held as a broker which is illegal but as a principal in this case in mutual funds" They are held by Hargreaves Lansdowne Nominees Ltd, not in mutual funds
"MM spread now my be to discourage trading and keep the SP in a price range for now." Individual MMs don’t often change their bid/offer spread. If the touch is wide, it’s usually because they are all making the same price.
Reade Griffiths is founding partner and ultimate controller of Polygon
I would guess that the 4 "shareholders" banks mentioned are their custodians. Polygon and Griffith, are ultimate shareholders, which is why they are the "person subject to the notification obligation". They do not have separate shareholdings here. So not buying on behalf of. Nothing sinister.
