I'm not asking her to pump the sp on false news. All I ask is that she delivers news on time that adds value according to the analysis of the brokers that she hired.

I don't see why it is so ridiculous for someone to offer consultancy through a contract with clear terms and without being offered a position on the board. After all, isn't that exactly what JH has to do since she departed?

If they don't need a new CEO and she is offering consultancy services as a stop-gap to whatever end, then fine. So long as she is hired as a 3rd party contractor and not a member of the board, so there can be no conflict of interest.

She should have a written contract that clearly details charges and services to be provided with clauses for penalties/clawback if contracted services or results are not delivered by the detailed deadlines.

PS Soup, the salary I was referring to was for a replacement CEO.

I know they're not salaried Soup but there will be some kind of remuneration or reward involved.

I keep hearing people say how valuable she is and how her knowledge is second to none but I have yet to see any benefit of that for the shareholders of Nuformix.

I seem to remember that we were told we were worth 1.7p to 3.4p before any deals or data. I also seem to recall a figure of 9p per share being banded about for good NXP002 data (without considering NXP004). We are currently at 1.4p with both an Oxilio deal and with NXP004 data (although we have no details whatsoever of that data). The NXP002 data will now possibly be delayed beyond the end of her current term, forcing us to strike up a new agreement?

At this point and given the market's failure to react, I'm not convinced that they will even be able to garner any interest from the originator with the NXP004 data they have. I get the feeling we are more likely to see OXL004 being added to someone else's pipeline.

I don't think we should take on a new CEO and appoint her on the NED gravy train while the valuation is where it is.

Personally OBW, if they are going to hire a new CEO then I would expect whoever it is to be able to replace her fully. Not sure I feel comfortable with paying another salary and also seeing someone whose chose to leave then be appointed as an NED, especially given the current sp.

AR's comments about AB's continued association is probably just a reference to her offering some kind of extended support to any incoming CEO due to the delay in the NXP002 data. That would be fair of her but she will be starting a new role herself and access to her will no doubt be limited. It's probably just to reassure any potential CEO candidates that there is a lifeline if they have any problems getting up to speed.

I think most of us would largely agree or hope that OBW's take on the situation is correct. As usual though, we see no positive market response yet and are all left guessing about where we're really headed. Perhaps the appointment of a new CEO will shed some light on that. If we get someone who has a solid track record in M&A/out-licensing or perhaps even a bean-counter then we're probably looking at end-game. If it's another boffin then maybe they are looking to continue in some capacity, perhaps to switch focus to finally out-licensing NXP001.

I just hope we get some news on a replacement CEO soon because I really think it is a key reason for the depressed share price even after all this promising news.

You need to keep a broad and open mind in today's markets, goup, in order to avoid being misinformed or even misled.

When you hear or see something that suggests to you that someone is trying to put something into peoples minds, you should also ask yourself: "is it because it is true or is it just because they want me to think it is?".

If Alex isn't there and JH is now freelance then I can't see how they would be considering lab work beyond what is required to sell the current assets off.

Once the assets are all licensed then the plan would surely be to sell off what remains to someone else who is interested collecting any royalties.

Anything else seems nonsensical given how the operation has been stripped down.

I thought Alex was still supposed to be there. So he went before JH?

Seems to me that AB has basically shut the operation down , outsourced everything that's left and is now off herself.

I struggle to see how they're going to attract a new CEO, What will they do? Might as well outsource that role too.

The wording was OK and it all sounded positive if you didn't attempt to interpret any emotions. However, I just didn't feel any sense of excitement from either of them and there was no real attempt by Brindley to give any indication of just how good the NXP004 results were. Some might say that is being professional. However, when the share price is where it is I think the potential of having a repurposed blockbuster on your hands (or two) would make things feel a little bit more upbeat and less matter-of-fact.

I did note that when the interviewer was asking about the latest NXP004 patent filing, AB's response was that "to the best of our knowledge it is novel". That sounded a bit like she wasn't altogether sure that it couldn't be challenged.

I just felt that todays video was primarily about getting the bad news about the NXP002 delay out on the back of the good news of the NXP004 patent filing.

Sounds from Riddell's comments that they will eventually get round to finding a replacement CEO to start business development. It's looking unlikely that anything ever came of the now infamous Asian partner discussions. I get the feeling we'll be starting from scratch on that one.

The discussions announced by the Times leak were confirmed to be real by the company and therefore had to have been leaked from someone with inside knowledge.

This video doesn't even suggest a link between AZN and NFX. So they are in a different league.

However, to randomly pick both AZN and NFX as the topic of discussion at a time when the patent for NXP004 has just been filed AND speculation is rife amongst investors as to who the originator is does make its circulation look a little bit "accidentally on purpose".

It seems odd to link the two companies but not go as far as to talk about their common ground in oncology. Instead it mentions NXP002. It gives me the impression that its sourced from someone who is trying to generate interest so they can make a quick buck but that could be also be a smokescreen.

Best to take it with a pinch of salt for now and hope it doesn't raise too many eyebrows if the two are indeed linked for potential licensing discussions.

It does seem odd that a professional organisation that offers investment insights could just pluck these two companies out of thin air for a chance comparison of investment opportunities in the pharma sector.

Apart from coincidence, another possible source for linking the two could be rumour from discussion forums about the possibility of AZN being the originator for NXP004. However, it would seem risky (as far as reputations are concerned) for a company to create social media content based on utterings from a forum.

Is it also possible that an association might have been suggested (unwittingly or otherwise) by someone outside Nuformix who has (or has previously had) involvement in the company's activities?

The worst case scenario would be for such an association to be based on a leak from inside Nuformix itself. I would find that very hard to believe, given that the current board has been very guarded about the information surrounding license agreements so far.

Given the consequences of the Times leak for NXP002, I am not sure that media like this is helpful to Nuformix or its long term holders. If AZN does turn out to be the originator, what will they think if Nuformix does now approach them about licensing? They might wonder how this link came about and whether or not confidentiality or trust issues still exist.
