It definitely felt like a "We're good to go!" RNS. Just not clear why the market isn't showing too much enthusiasm.

Only things I can think of are:

1. CEO uncertainty
2. Belief that Durability test must be complete for sealing any deal.

If 2 then the ambiguity about the results now not being expected until early 2022 (as opposed to Jan 2022) might be affecting things as well.

We'll see what the next few days bring but, overall, it looks like the news might get a bit more interesting from here on in. It certainly feels more like we might see a decent return at some. It's all down to negotiation skills now

I agree with client assessment.

It's not so much that I want them to buy in. It's more that I am looking for signs of greed/FOMO as an indication that something is really about to happen

If you take the time to read the post OBW, you will notice that I didn't say it was immaterial, I merely posed the question.

Others have mentioned that they consider durability to be more relevant to dose calculation rather than efficacy, so it might not hinder business development activity.

The biggest trade we've seen today if still under 15k GBP.

It's gonna take a long time to build a worthwhile stake at that rate. Like I said, next news could be deal news. That will be on the minds of anyone looking to build a stake here.

It feels like they are still waiting for something

I can't figure out why the big boys and girls are not buying in yet.

If the durability test is immaterial to deal-making then, apart from a replacement CEO, the next news will be deal news. IF/when that drops then there is a good chance the boat will have been missed.

The only thing Allenby's clients can be waiting for is news about a replacement CEO.

I'm not talking about them having insider knowledge of the time and date of the results before the market. I was implying that they might have warned their clients that news such as this (when it did finally) would be signal to start accumulating.

That hasn't happened so they must be waiting for something else, maybe confirmation of a new CEO?

You would have thought Allenby would have had their clients primed for today's news release, especially given how well-informed they seemed to be at placing time. The volume is not indicative of that.

Why is it so quiet?

In other words, durability might not be a deal breaker?

Surely an update on valuation is overdue?

Allenby seem tight-lipped. I would have expected to see some serious accumulation start today instead of the sub 1m volume retailer trader deals we have seen so far.

Still seems odd that they would release it before all the tests were in. Will they have to go to the expense of releasing another RNS when the durability results arrive? Will this not take the shine off the test suite completion?

Unless the durability tests are just box-ticking then there must be a reason for this RNS. As mentioned here, the RNS now states early 2022 instead of January for durability results. If this is the case then AB will not be around so this could be pre-cursor to another announcement such as new CEO.

The timing of the RNS is odd.

Having released the interview last week, you would have thought it better to wait for the final durability test in January before releasing a single RNS announcement.

Why now?

Does anyone know how far off we are now from having the 'Phase 1 ready data package'? Will it be complete once the last durability test results are in?

Didn't the broker analysis say that NXP002 alone with a phase 1 ready data package should be worth 9p a share even without a licensing deal?

This announcement is important because we should find out whether or not the ongoing Asian NXP002 partner talks were true or not.

With NXP004, they couldn't approach the originator until the data was in and the patent was filed. The upshot of that is that it could be a number of weeks or months for the NXP004 originator to absorb the data and agree to/thrash out some kind of deal.

That's shouldn't the case with NXP002. Remember how team Gooding told us they were in talks with a big Asian partner back in 2019? Well, if it was true then we have never been told that those talks fell through (we were told when Vistagen didn't materialise). If they hadn't fallen through then there is no reason why they shouldn't already have an agreement ready to sign and we should get to find out whether there was any substance to the Times leak by what happens next.

Great, the RNS we have been waiting for.

Confused as to why they didn't release this before the interview though. I thought it was delayed because of the durability test. I'm assuming this has been formally released because they can now answer the "we know it's good, we just don't know how good" caveat that they put in the interview last week?

If they are the originator, let's hope Soriot is still in that frame of mind.

I'm not saying she has been offered a position on the board. I'm just responding to comments made by others here that suggest that might be on the cards. I'm just saying I don't agree with it.

You might be right about Brindley. Without her fundraising and work on the data packages we might already have gone under. However, I'm not yet convinced that the current retail shareholders are the ones who will see any benefit from her work. I will give credit when credit is due, once we see a return to a valuation that is more in line with Allenby's forecasts.
