To be fair, I don't check the BoD's LinkedIn profiles regularly to see what they're posting, so it isn't something that I would have picked up on. However, I have said before that I don't feel a great level of excitement about two sets of results which should each be transformational in their own right.

Most BoD's would be screaming from the rooftops to encourage new investors at this stage . It's the fuel for future fundraisers which could be essential for further trials. The price has barely twitched and the broker appears to have vanished altogether. Why does this not feel like a big deal?

VAL recently rose from 18p to 50p on news that I regard as far less substantial than what we've had (they were going to run some pre-clinical trials on a university developed oncology drug and MIGHT license it IF the data turns out to be good). They still sit 50% higher than they were before the news. Why are we at 1.35p and why do the BoD and brokers not seem too bothered about that?

You would have thought that this was any small biopharma CEO's dream come true...yet ours has opted to move on. You would have thought there had been enough time to line up a replacement CEO yet here we are, several weeks away from AB's departure, two weeks after the news dropped and still no progress.

I wouldn't say I felt affronted, just confused. I don't think it unreasonable for people to see this apparent relaxed attitude as a sign that the BoD are not fully engaged. Could it actually be a sign of something else though? Maybe business development is more advanced than they're letting on. Maybe they are working to a script and are relaxed because they know they don't need a new CEO and don't have to attract new investors to fund future work. Maybe their LinkedIn activity is focussed on other projects because they don't expect to be involved with Nuformix for much longer.

The only thing I'd say is that when things are so certain and positive the market normally picks up on it. That hasn’t happened here yet.

The half year results are due very soon. We should hopefully find out how valuable a global oncology licensing deal for NXP001 is. Given that it's the only deal we've successfully signed so far, maybe it will give us more of a clue about whether the BoD are fully engaged or not.

We're approaching 2 weeks since the news was announced and it all seems to have gone back to sleep. We have little idea of what they are doing behind the scenes.

It seems to me that since joining, the priority of AB has been the science rather than the business or shareholders interests. Fair enough, there is no business without the science but there needs to a be some focus on the other aspects too now.

If these products really are as promising as we are told then, at this valuation, we are more likely to fall to a hostile bid at a moronic price than we are to a genuinely valued deal with big pharma (as the latter could take a while to materialise).

I am keen to know how they are progressing with a new CEO as I don't think will change until AB has gone.

The market doesn't seem be particularly sanguine about either NXP002 or NXP004 at the moment.

It seems quite clear that, when it comes to data releases on their own, they now take them with a pinch of salt. It could be a while before any deals are struck so it would to know that there is (at the very least) some interest in these products. That goes for NXP001 CINV as well.

OBW, I think the response was definitely to a question about deal status:

"20. What happened to deals that the previous management indicated were close to being signed in January 2020?"

Whether or not the response was perhaps aimed more at the NXP001 deal status that the NXP002 deal status is another matter.

I just think we'd have heard more by now if the Asian deal hadn't fallen through...even if it was just an update to say talks have been postponed pending results.

You're waiting for results on your lead asset but then in the AGM Q&A you openly state that talks with the originator had since died? I think it more likely you would avoid a straight answer to that one if it was anything but positive. Telling the world the talks had ended would undoubtedly cause other potential suitors to ask the question "why?".

On the other hand, if the talks were still ongoing but conditional on results, why would you be reluctant or prevented from saying so? If the world knew that someone was still interested but waiting for clarification then other suitors might also retain interest. It would be in the company's and the shareholders interest to say things were still underway.

So why would they dodge the question with a "no comment"?

If you look back to the AGM, they dodged the question with a response that seemed geared to avoid a negative response:

"20. What happened to deals that the previous management indicated were close to being signed in January 2020?

Nuformix cannot comment on previous communications by the prior leadership. However, the current management will only publicly comment on deals once they are fully signed and delivered, as is the appropriate approach for a listed company."

If the Asian talks were still ongoing but hinged on good data then why would they not be able to say so?

Back in March, AB said:

"Nuformix has an early -stage pipeline of preclinical and Phase 1-ready assets with potential for significant value and early licensing opportunities"

I'm assuming that NXP001 is the phase 1 ready asset she referred to. It would be nice to hear more about any business development or refinement activity that there has been for NXP001 (beyond Oxilio).

It makes you wonder exactly how much preparation there was for the data results drop.

Judging by last year, half-year results should come out in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully there will be some news about the badly needed replacement CEO in that time.

It was Blackwell and I don't believe DG would have left while talks about the lead asset were underway. It would have been too damaging. I think they had ended at that point, otherwise he would have waited for the discussions to resume when the lockdown eased.

I think you'll find I didn't say that I thought the pandemic disrupted discussions. I too believe it was more likely an excuse.

Didn't AB say she was going to establish whether or not there was any chance of a positive outcome from legacy talks?

If she didn't approach them then they must have walked away and never come back once the pandemic eased.

If someone was really interested in NXP002 then the pandemic might have slowed down the proceedings but it wouldn't have killed them. So when contact was re-established, do you think AB said "sorry guys, we're doing more stuff so it's going to cost you more"?
