Net zero is great in theory, in practice, nearly am impossibility. The need to move from A to B, to heat a home etc cannot come from sustainable energy sources alone. We just have too many people on the planet for that to happen.

Must be one of those 'phantom' scenarios that we hear about, you know, when you lose your ring but do not notice because your finger still 'feels' it for a while.

I was thinking about how the media is starting to ramp up the plague narrative once again and we are not even past Summer yet.
They will issue mask mandates, jabs and testing come Autumn, they may even use lock downs as a means to control us.
The WHO have not declared this an epidemic and that is the troubling bit along with how many people are still testing themselves FFS!!

Our immune systems are shot and I'll tell you why I believe that.
So many people around us that have had the jab and boosters are getting covid and falling really ill, albeit for a 2-4 days, but they are getting it often. This says to me that we are not being able to suppress this variant and the sub variants. I hope I am completely wrong as I reckon that will push too many people over the edge.
I plan to make a note from this point forward to see how many in our circle of acquaintances get sick and how often.

I also understand that this being a new strain of the flu, our immune systems need time to deal with it, but keeping away from others and isolating will do nothing for our immunity, that is why kids have such high immunity and adult don't.

Todd, do you think everybody will be affected in the same way? Those worse off never flew to 'exotic destinations' anyway. Those that could afford to fly away as a 'treat' for the family will find a way.
Tourism economy in countries will find a way to attract people otherwise the world will go into a depression, forget about a recession.

Sund, agree, winter will be busy. People are booking way in advance to get cheap fares. The place we normally go to for skiing is booked up until Jan 2024!
We have had to book elsewhere for December this year and that was back in March!! They even sent us a message to let them know by October if we were not coming, so that they can rent out the apartment for this year.
So, it will be busy. Not sure if all flights into Europe will be BA, but lots of people also booking to go to Dubai etc.

Covid is the official name of the flu, yes it's the new and improved version, the old version was not doing it's job in relocating the ageing population...

Now get over it and move on!

Hopefully we close up and then carry that momentum on Monday through to Tuesday when the Yanks sober up and come back on line to smash Euro stocks back into the depths of hell.
