RE: ISA31 Jul 2019 10:14
I have sent the letter below to LSE and hope for a sensible reply. I will let you know if I get one!
Dear LSE,
Please could you advise on the following matter that has been true forever.
Why is it that buys and sells are not recorded correctly when the transactions are known to every broker that makes them? Why can you not get that specific correct information?
I understand that LSE try to take an average of the mid-price at the time of the transaction and then an algorithm makes an assumption as to whether the transaction is a buy or sell. But what good is that when it's so often wrong?
For example, this morning, I purchased four lots of shares in UKOG 4k,4k,5k,7k, totalling £20,000. ALL of these transactions are shown on your site as sales. Others in chat have said the same.
Please can someone advise. There must be a better way. After all, if anything, this site is providing extremely misleading information and that can't be good for anyone. You could also be accused of deramping a share and this could be implied as market manipulation, irrespective of whether your method is detailed in terms and conditions.
