It will be interesting if they announce anything before the AGM. There will be some hard questions asked going by what people on here have stated. Without updating the market in advance what can Colin say ?. We know it is significantly bigger than when they first started drilling but after that ............... ?.
BHP are confident the price of copper will increase in 2025. It is hard to see how selling BR at current copper prices is maximising shareholder value, something he has also promised. (I know they use long term prices, none of which are above $5lb).

The Italians are probably claiming it will affect their mental health if the results are announced !!.

Lawyers make the rules so they can always find a reason to delay. And if they can't find a reason, just hand it over to a human rights lawyer and then it would go on indefinitely. Fingers crossed for everyone.

It is so so tempting to keep topping up but having made that mistake with XTR and the Ascot discovery, I am trying to be disciplined. Funny thing is Colin has said nothing here and yet feel there is so much about to happen. Hope Cobre spread some of their midas dust to us.

Thanks for sharing those figures. Shows what a difference a small increase/decrease makes to profits. I wouldn't be surprised if gold is over $2000 an ounce and £ is 1-1 with the dollar next year. Admittedly I am more bearish with the copper price next year than Colin and many on here are. For all the criticism of Colin I do think bringing Manica on line is a great achievement and he should be shouting about it.

Agreed. Unless AA offer us a good deal then I would rather just sit it out. Or in our case spend time proving up the model and drill a few holes. As long as the messaging is clear why we have changed strategy most people will accept it.

Thanks. I do plan just to hold and see what happens. I bought my first XTR shares for the Julia Creek oil shale in either 2007 or 2008. Oil was running out and shale was the future. Took 15 years to come true even if not for JC. Dieselgate did the same for platinum and JLP. At the moment I just hope Colin doesn't let his enthusiasm for buying up the worlds copper exploration plays and waits for the cash to arrive from Fairbride first. (sorry for off topic).

I thought the plan was simple. Prove up BR. Hopefully reach 2mt and sell it. Return cash to shareholders. Seemed simple to me and the reason I invest is to hopefully make a return.
Now I have no idea what the plan is. Great for debating on a bb but not financially rewarding. And I have not the faintest idea whether copper will be $3 or $6 a Ib next year or maybe both. Could wake up tomorrow and find AA has put in an offer for the company at a 30% premium to the current shareprice !!. Time will tell how this goes.

Thanks for posting the vid. At least I am not the only one confounded by the shareprice. Most AIM explorers are destroyed by the lack of cash and the never ending placings. And in a bear market get slaughtered. GLR is cash rich and great potential assets despite my reservations about Zim. Onwards and upwards.

Funny old world we live in. As long as Manica keeps producing we should do fine and ride out the ups and downs.

Prickly made the comment that at their meeting with Colin, Colin stated that there was no point in releasing good news because it wouldn't make any difference. Whereas I feel he should release news and keep at least shareholders updated, if he feels he cannot affect the market then I don't see how a bb will. Minor short term ups and down but not the underlying trend. I honestly don't believe Goldman Sachs rely on this board to make their decisions.

In regards to BR then I 100% agree.
My issue was when he was writing in his statements at TIR that good projects were hard to find due to the competition, money hard to raise (BZT - thanks Prickly for your informative posts on there) that he was saying at XTR how he was looking for further projects. A lot of money will be required at Manica and BR to further them along and I would prefer focus to remain at the current time on those projects. The last thing we need is for operational difficulties to occur at Fairbride then a placing to be required because shock/horror things didn't turn out as planned.

In our case the Penalty is Bushranger development. That is a near cert given the issues elsewhere. But the resource size, price and timeline needs to go to VAR.
