Good to hear Colin has his mojo back without too much hyperbole. In my younger days it was said higher interest rates took 18 months to play out so not convinced about the September bit. But Manica looking good regardless.

Agreed. What the copper price does in the long term has little relevance if a Company has no cash in the short term. Knowing that we have a steady inflow of cash gives us that protection should the markets turn nasty next year. And providing a steady flow of news helps to raise the profile of XTR even if not the immediate shareprice. All good. Next stop BR.

When you consider we are basically only valued at cash - assuming the Glenover payment - this must be one of the biggest bargains on AIM. I hope CB concentrates on these existing projects and not get waylaid looking for new projects.

Like you, I am keeping an eye on events in China. Will be interesting to see if they increase the rhetoric at the China National Congress over Taiwan. But that could be a positive for gold in 2023 and help us, assuming we are at full production in Moz. Still don't understand why our gold assets in Moz aren't promoted to the market more. A regular flow of RNS's would help awareness if not the immediate shareprice.

This also shows the scale of the problem. But when will metals/copper recover ?. At the moment, looking across mining shares, the markets isn't interested. Plenty of otherwise sound exploration companies will struggle if they need to raise cash at the moment.

The economic and geopolitical situation is changing so quickly that making forecasts is becoming impossible. Who will care about COP26 and all its idealism when they haven't got electricity to turn the lights on or simply can't afford to. Electric cars anyone ?. But if AA do an all share offer, then whereas the cash sum equivalent maybe far less than many of us on here would want, a deal could still be possible. Both AA and XTR shares have dropped by fairly similar amounts over the last 6 months/1 year.

For all the talk of how copper prices are going to the moon, it is still in a sharp downward trend. Colin loved to talk of this being the time of the small miner. At the current prices most small mines will be unprofitable. In a years time probably shuttered. I am still confident in what we have in our gold assets and BR, but given the economic and geopolitical outlook it is hard to keep buying just to see the price go down. And in recent months CB hasn't helped given his previous uber bullishness.

If anyone wants to buy my shares today for 10p a share then I will force myself to accept !!.

For me a lowball offer would be about 12p for the Company. But agreed, 10p cash at the moment would be very tempting.

Howezap - if AA turn us down because we haven't reached the 2mt target, if we release the information, wouldn't we be an easy takeover target in a dire market ?. Other companies could just finish the feasibility study and wait for the market to recover . Given the current sentiment from this board I think most would accept a lowball cash offer !.

Does XTR need to produce better numbers ?. Eventually copper prices will increase. It is then a choice of facing higher taxes and water issues in places like Chile, pesky natives in Peru, change of Governments in the PI and Zambia and the Congo !. For some reason the local populations dislike having their land destroyed by a mine with all its associated pollution, polluted rivers, drying up of boreholes, deforestation and profits only going to a few local elites even if they are happy to accept the brown envelope at election time. And these days there are plenty of western good hearted people to support them with the aid of social media.

At least the geologists have a good understanding of BR. There is a risk, as the last assay results showed but those drills were always a punt. If we have to hang around and bide our time, I would rather do it with an asset in OZ than most other parts of the world where security of tenure is the next election.

AA would have crunched the numbers when they put the 2m figure in the buyback clause. When Colin says they have exceeded their "original" expectations, we know that, but does a mid size deposit hold significant value in the current market and does it stand up to his later exuberance in his podcasts. A good result at Ascot would be nice at the moment.

Totally agree Lucky. My understanding and for many on this board, was that BR would be sold and a payout made. If you exclude BR, how many of Colin's recent projects have had added any shareholder value across his multiple companies ?. In his TIR annual report he said how hard it is to find good projects at the moment with fair value. So why bother wasting shareholder cash on ever more speculative projects going into a possible recession ?. There were some good posts on the BZT and GLR Friday night which are worth reading regarding shareholder value.
