Cygnus. Of all the many deals Colin has done, these I feel are some of the best. Takes away the risk but still leaves some upside. It is what I am expecting with Ascot. But like you, I would have liked to have continued drilling.

In GLR and AFP Colin has clauses in projects which pay out "success" payments if further exploration meets certain targets. These deals are with Sandfire and FQ. They save on the exploration cost and risk but gives shareholders a chance to profit on success. Maybe he is thinking on the same lines with Ascot etc.

Why not complain to Navitas instead.

Andrew. Thanks for the figures. In the short term I expect the markets to be down but the $8500 is about the price I was figuring on mid 2023/24. Possibly Colin is looking to sell by his 80th birthday.

I did note that CB thinks it will be a 20mt x 25 years resource. Ignoring the current market situation, anyone any thoughts about its possible market value in the future ?

Some good bits such as where BR stands on the Lachlan Fold in relation to its competitors. Just not sure in this market it will make much difference. Colin might be experienced with rising interest rates but QT ??.

Don't think GLR is an exception. The Federal Reserve came out very hawkish yesterday and a recession in 2023 isn't ideal news.
Thought the results read fine. Little new news however that I could see bar Nevada. I thought the Star Zinc situation doesn't look great and a shame. Income from that would have been useful and helps to pay the bills. Guess using dynamite near peoples homes isn't a great way to gain votes.

Clearly some mining destinations are better than others. BR might not be the biggest resource in the world but it is in Oz.

If you have any doubts about JLP then listen to this Crux interview. I am a JLP shareholder but admit its a case of just buying and forgetting about. It is not a share that will double in a day like this could. LC has a plan and will do it bit by bit.
Botswana is one of the worlds top mining destinations. Zambia improving. Zimbabwe unfortunately relies on contacts and not geology. But nothing factored in the shareprice so doesn't matter.

In one of the podcasts Colin did mention about prioritizing projects. With the Cobre success I can see the Kalahari copper becoming top priority. Success there is a total gamechanger and without the political risks found in many other countries.

According to this, 2023 should see the circuit coming on line. Listening to the Crux interview on JLP at the same time there is clearly a well organised timeline.

When I spoke about the 500-1 chance of taking the exploration target to a mine it wasn't meant in reference BR in any way. I assume those words meant the earliest stage of exploration.
My expectation and investment is based on BR being. developed. When is the ?. From the last GLR podcast it appears there is currently a Mexican stand off about value/costs.

Some interesting info about their northern Zambian strategy and also the processing of copper sulphides and laterites. Given CB was at JLP and still has some involvement, the benefits of their northern strategy will benefit our copper mining and zinc imho. Might not be as sexy as the Kalahari exploration but should be significant over the next few years.

Sometimes it feels like it !!!. But seriously. I thought the odds of taking an exploration target to a mine was 500-1. But in one of the podcasts a few months back, one of the mining CEO's quoted 600-1 so maybe I am being over optimistic. Which probably explains why the majors gave up wasting their time even looking.
